  1. This illustrates the problem with nutty fundamentalists. They think it was God who wrote Leviticus 20:13 rather than some bronze-age bigot!

(If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads)

    1. Which refers to pristitution or polygamy, not gay relationships. Please look it up!!

      1. No idea where you get that from? Leviticus clearly says that if a man has sex with a man they will be put to death! The context has nothing to do with “pristitution or polygamy.” I politely suggest that you look it up :)

  2. Religious people live on the foundation of illusions, which makes them exist in land of crazy ideas. In this land it is expected that people will go over the edge.
Mother Teresa: “There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains much from their suffering.” –

This was her reasoning for not providing the suffering in her care with pain killers or proper hygiene. She collected millions but fought against rational thought and the advice of doctors.
Complete nut, with millions who see her as a saint.

I agree, and it is clearly another example of Religion spreading ignorance and ignoring the evidence (the husband of the subject of her alleged miracle-cure is quoted as saying “It was not a miracle…. She took medicines for nine months to one year”, and yet we have religious apologists claiming we should simply ignore the lies and harm of religion here ..

  3. if it was an attack carried out by Palestinian freedom fighters, israeli police would solve the crime in 4 days not 4 years

    1. For a given value of “solve”.
Were Palestinian militants to have carried out the act, I can almost guarantee you that people other than them will bear the ones who would bear brunt of Israel’s response.

  4. It is hardly the fault of the article that chapter and verse aren’t cited, since it’s the claim of the murderer – an inaccurate claim, as you rightly (for once) point out.

    1. Are the quotation marks that hard to understand?

  5. It is still all fiction though. You do realise that don’t you?

  6. Christ does not even mention homosexuality. So how can you
say he condemned homosexuality? He did reserve his strongest
    condemnation for hypocrisy.

    1. So why is it okay to wear a poly-cotton shirt today but not be gay? Both are an abomination in the bible.

    2. Christ was also the angel that said the condemnatory words of regarding homosexuals Do you make this stuff up as you go along, Keith me old m…ucker? Inventive, if little else.

And since Jesus of Nazareth didn’t actually write down any of his own words, how are you to know what he said? Do you believe everything you read?

      1. It could, but it was directed to you, since you apparently believe so strongly in the veracity of your Christ’s purported words.

  7. Message to the editorial of Pink News.

Dear Pink News how much longer are we to be expected to put up with the insane ramblings of Keith the fu-king so called moral educator? Is it too much to expect that the bigots are expunged from this site? Is it really so difficult to fu-ck him off once and for all is it?

    1. there aqctually was a claim that the murder was the result of a rift between various LGBT groups

We have to wonder if RATZI the ex hller youth member was behind it.
Just remember the orthodox are torah thumpers, the disgrace of Judaism

BTW this murder may well have been inspiered by the two otrodox in the Knesset who in Jan2009 called gays worse then bird flu

Israel has hate speech laws. Those two orthos should be tried for murder also as accessories before the fact

The punishment should be to send them to Putin Gulag

Its got to be the rarest of the rare – that a gay person, unless schizo, would kill other gay people in a mass murder.

    2. In defence of Keith, he does generate discussion which is useful to refine our own beliefs, he does have freedom of speech, and barring people is the domain of the ‘Christian’ Institute who have barred many of us from their Facebook discussion page.

      1. You refine your own ‘beliefs’ I neither have nor need ‘beliefs’. He abuses freedom of speech to come to a site by and for LGBT people simply to troll and be as abusive as he can be. So enough is enough he can troll on the sites that welcome the religious delusional but he has no business being on this site.

I suspect many regulars feel that after his long history of bad behaviour here he’s run out of any tolerance and leeway, but I nevertheless I think you are making a very fair and rational point Jamesh. I suppose it boils down to how many second chances you give persistent offenders.

Previously I’ve seen your arguments (and screen names) consist of a great many insults and epithets, and I can understand why PN would want to block you for the offence that this causes.

Having said that, you have generally been quite polite with me when we’ve had discussions, and to date in this thread I think you’ve been making your points clearly and politely (I’ve up-thumbed some of your comments on that basis, for what it’s worth). I also note you haven’t been blocked so far, which may be due to this.

Clearly if you comment in a forum that is already hostile to your views it will be hard to avoid conflict, but if you post in good faith and without insult I believe that you’re more likely to get a debate in which you might convince others. If that isn’t your experience here, or if you aren’t here to debate in good faith, perhaps another forum might serve you better.

        2. Midnighter, I <3 you! You're so much more patient and generous than I am.

Meh, looks like I spoke too soon eh? :P

Can I ask HOW this is NOT a hate crime? Or how it was ever considered NOT a hate crime?

  9. Midnighter 9 Jul 2013, 10:55am

“Nobody is under old testament law since Christ. “
The reason for schisms in Christianity is because while you are totally correct that this is claimed, others argue that since God is infallible and omnipotent, and since the old law was deemed to be “everlasting” in the old testaments, his original edicts stand. Passages from Matthew 5:18-19 and Luke 16:17 are often quoted as supporting this view.

One telling question is to ask a Christian why have to obey the ten commandments, and disobey the other 600+ that are also in the bible.

What it comes down to is that your god seems incapable of clearly communicating the most simple of ideas to his followers, and that his followers are infinitely inventive in their ability to cherry pick and interpret their religious texts to suit whatever it was they believed in the first place.
