  1. This is so stupid, I really don’t know where to start!!!

    1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 7 Jul 2013, 10:51am

Agree ! It doesn’t deserve a twinkle with an eye. Not even a single thought or a nod with the head-

    2. I too am as close to speechless as I’ve ever been (and that’s saying something)!

    3. “We cannot speak of more than one sexual ‘orientation’ any more than we can think of the sun rising in more than one place”

He is so stupid he doesn’t even realise that the sun doesn’t rise at all. Someone should reveal the truth to him.

The Earth orbits the Sun while spinning. If you are standing on a spinning orb then the Sun only appears to be rising. But then he probably thinks the Earth is a Giant Tortoise held up by a Snake. It is fascinating to see such stupid people assuming they should speak out about anything other than how much fluff has gathered in their navel. Even then I would not believe a word he said about fluff.

Just concerning the statement that sports will help send a person straight. What about gay athletes, I don’t think the sports thing works. HMMM!!!! And I agree with David, it is really stupid and given the state of the Catholic Church, maybe they should actually have a real conversation with God!!! Have a blessed Sunday!!!

    1. Yes indeed I did not realised that. You’re right Joe, what about those gay athletes. If sport is the answer against homosexuality, how to explain those high profile gay athletes.

      1. Because the silly pastor still thinks being gay = being femenine and all you need to do to “cure” yourself of your femeninity is do something super masculine like play football, or go hunting.

Eventually all these super manly things will seep into your brain and make you suddenly react to female pheramones and find vagina’s infinitley enticing.

He’s an absolute bafoon, of course

  3. He clearly speaks through his ass !!!

    1. which is probably why so many priests read his lips

  4. PeterinSydney 7 Jul 2013, 10:59am

This little rat is as stupid as his high flying father. Both of them belong to the fascist Opus Dei, who hide their gay inclinations byu being homophobic about everyone else.

  5. He can only think of the sun as rising in the orient?!

So he is literally a flat earther!

  6. My immediate response was “what experience does this guy really have? Looks like he’s in some kind of denial himself.”

    1. The father against gays.
The son, catholic priest, “ex-gay” group chair…
      I thought the same Peter,
Which kind of denial, self loathing experience do these guys live with?

  7. Well that tells all those doctors, scientists and Gay people where they have got it wrong. What a stupid pig.

    1. The Catholic Church, too. While they’re hardly LGBT-friendly, they officially recognise homosexuality as an unchangeable aspect of a person (they just think it means you should be celibate for life). It’s interesting, though… Catholic priests have been excommunicated for going against the official Catholic position by saying there’s nothing inherently wrong with gay relationships or supporting marriage equality, but it seems if you contradict the official Catholic position in the other direction (being *more* hostile towards LGBT people/rights/recognition), they do nothing about it.

Scalia snr should not have sat on the recent Prop 8 and DOMA cases since he is clearly FAR from being impartial on such issues, and it was scandalous that he did not recuse himself. On that basis I don’t believe he has any business sitting on ANY case since he is demonstrably not capable of exercising judicial impartiality as evidenced by both his predictable patterns of judgement and his failure to recognise his own bias at the outset.

The fact that his son is indoctrinated in the same bullshi1t is neither surprising nor interesting to me.

  9. Twat! That is all.

  10. “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Act III, scene II

  11. The “Orient” – have we suddenly shifted back 150 years to the height of the Empire…?
    Completely bonkers.

  12. These ignorant witterings might seem so bizarre that they’re funny to us, but the sad thing is that there are probably many people – perhaps desperate to please their fathers, as Scalia appears to be – who will believe this nonsense.

  13. This man is clearly not very rational and not particularly bright. Wearing that silly white collar doesn’t make him an authority on sexuality and LGBT issues.

  14. Just waiting for him to assert that child abuse doesn’t exist either!!!!
What a sad, sorry, pathetic excuse of a priest and of a human being!!!

  15. Colin (London) 7 Jul 2013, 11:58am

Then in reality the guy is a non educated plonker…. Move on and ignore.

  16. Robert in S. Kensington 7 Jul 2013, 12:12pm

A deeply closeted self-loather I think, but that’s over half of catholic priests for you. Delusional loon!

  17. Those priests spend so much time thinking about homosexuality and how to prevent it that oneself may wonder if they don’t have much fantasy about that topic than any other subject.

So what about those priests who abused children again?

The funny thing is that they use to glorify God for the variety of His creation but in the same time they are in complete denial about this same variety they glorify about.

  18. What a helpless idiot!

  19. Michael 2912 7 Jul 2013, 1:09pm

No Pink News. The article is not relevant – particularly, as you state, or generally. It’s simply a case of “Like dick-headed bigoted father like dick-headed bigoted son”.

  20. Thank God for Justice Kennedy! If it were up to this closeted guy and his dad, American gays would be flogged in between their sports training.

    1. Keith in SALFORD 14 Jul 2013, 6:42am

      “….in between their sports training….” – YEAH….!AND BIG MACS.
      Hhahahaha
      Ferk the Catholic Church.
      Keith
      SALFORD

  21. if he thinks putting me in a sports camp will diminish my attraction to males then he is sorely, sorely mistaken. Sign me up !

  22. When reality is at odds with dogma, just ignore reality or tell lies about it. The strategy of religious and political fanatics in every age.

  23. This is beyond stupid… Growing up most of the guys I was with were athletes, being sent to sports camp would be a horrible punishment alright.. :)

  24. Jock S. Trap 7 Jul 2013, 2:46pm

Blimey… he sounds like one confused fella to me!

  25. Beelzeebub 7 Jul 2013, 3:18pm

    Good evening Mr Paul Scalia.

My gaydar says “Ping Ping Ping”.

Your selfish power hungry materialistically greedy father has clearly corrupted your mind in your formative years hence your hiding your true self in the den of child rapists behind a dog collar.

An inability to observe and understand reality is not what your stupid catholic doctrine dictates.

I think your bosses may want to have words as even the pope understand that gay people exist.

    F\/ckwit loon.

  26. Mr. Scalia is a younger brother to his elder brothers. Science has proven that this is a predictor of a greater probability of being gay.

As the chair of Courage and with his birth order, it is very likely he is attracted to men.

If he is attracted to men he can call that anything he wants. He can say his only orientation is being attracted to women, but that switch hasn’t been turned on. But he is still only attracted to men.

His father should have recused himself from cases involving gay issues as he is obviously biased.

    1. Sports camps indeed.
The man is as delusional as his dangerous father.

    2. Science has proven that this is a predictor of a greater probability of being gay

What ‘science’ is that? It’ll come as news to most of my friends (and indeed to my elder brother).

      1. It’s true, actually. If you have a gay older brother, you’re 70% more likely to be gay. Additionally, the more male babies you have, the more likely the next one is going to be gay. I have lots of gay friends with older gay brothers.

My own older brother identifies as straight, but I have my suspicions !

I think it was something to do with the female womb reacting to the new male featus in a defensive way, but not sure.

        Look it up yourself!

  27. What a complete arsehole. I expect he has as much evidence for this as the catholic church had when they stopped condom use in African and Asian country’s. They are responsible for the deaths of uncounted thousands, maybe millions

He should be gagged with super glue if he can not think of anything intelligent to say!

  28. bill hill 7 Jul 2013, 6:22pm

he is as stupid as his dad

  29. Lies, damn lies and the Catholic Church! No longer able to staff the diminishing ranks of clergy from a previously available supply of shamed gay adolescents, they’ve renewed the propaganda wars, and shame themselves in the process.

  30. James Savik 7 Jul 2013, 9:22pm

another religious fanatic that’s so far in the closet he’s finding Christmas presents

  31. i dont know why people get so worked up about what some non entity like that c_unt say. in terms of evolution he is still at level of simple primate swinging from the tree scratching its balls. just ignore this idiot

  32. Michael Stevens 7 Jul 2013, 9:36pm

Sounds like a big ole screaming closet queen to me, drowning in denial.

It’s terrible all the damage he’s doing to others through his own self hatred.

  33. Thankfully, people can see through their pathetic charade — even Americans.

  34. Really ? So I don’t exist ? Me and my bisexual orientation are just illusions ? Thanks for clearing that up, I always thought I existed and was, you know, a real being.

  35. hasta la bye-bye padre 7 Jul 2013, 11:36pm

again, another reason i can add to the list of “why i am no longer a catholic”.

  36. As the old saying goes, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” As Forrest Gump once said, “Stupid says as stupid does”. For these two, “life’s like a box of chocolates, you dunno whacha gonna git till ya open the box.”

  37. I don’t take moral instruction from pedophile pimps in dresses.

  38. Makes you wonder what twisted history this family must have.

  39. It seems like nothing’s scalier than the Scalias. …I know that’s not an actual pun because Scalia isn’t pronounced that way, so that may not have sounded very effective.

  40. Aryugaetu 8 Jul 2013, 9:12am

I think sports training is an excellent idea. It should start in High School and progress through college. Every young man needs to experience the thrill of getting sweaty with other men by playing with balls, then finishing the day with a hot steamy community shower and a rigorous massage. Did you know in American football you can learn to be a “tight end” or a “wide receiver”? Serious!

    1. First, we know that becoming a Catholic priest is an easy, well-trod path to not dealing maturely with one’s sexuality (of whatever kind).

Second, recent events have proved once again that ‘ex-gay’ movements are magnets for individuals who cannot acknowledge their own homosexuality.

So here we have a priest who heads an ‘ex-gay’ body discussing the non-existence of a homosexual orientation.

      He’s doubly-denying who he is–and a daddy’s boy at that.

      Shame on him.

  41. ” he promotes the idea that people only experience same-sex attractions which can be overcome”.
    unlike his stupidy !!!!

  42. What he is claiming is even contrary to Catholic teaching!

  43. Kay Julia 8 Jul 2013, 7:09pm

See what we have to put up with?
With this guy the light is on but no one is home!

  44. Rose Petasse 8 Jul 2013, 8:39pm

Am I the only one to notice that the that the sun rises at a slightly different place each morning due to the changing angle and seasons, maybe thats why I am a transsexual!! but I sure know which way I am orientated!

  45. ‘the court should not be ruling on “moral issues”, where there is no “scientifically demonstrable right answer” –
there is no scientific argument against equal marriage (like, in the case of having children). Only that these moral issues are still guided by non scientific morals that come down to the argument ‘Accept that I am god, thus believe/do what i say (or face the nasty consequences).

  46. Christopher in Canada 8 Jul 2013, 10:13pm

See the incredible “man without a brain!!” Step this way, folks!

  47. Rev Dr Joan 9 Jul 2013, 8:41pm

This is an unmarried Catholic priest who is beginning with an abstract theological construct about human sexuality, constructed not upon actual experience, but on his religious dogma. He is entitled to his religious beliefs, but the United States is not governed by them. We are governed by our Constitution.
