  1. Well, thank god for that.
Lets hope that legislative diarrhea of this sort doesn’t get thrown around again.

    Thank goodness. Well done Brazil.

Liking Cunha’s comment about removing Feliciano from his position.

Labour MP Geraint Davies has also tabled a move to ban it in the UK. Let’s hope that happens too. If Australia can do it, so can we.

Let’s hope we can get the same done in the UK. Labour MP Geraint Davies has moved to get it done.

  5. The good thing is he withdrew the bill before the vote!
The bad thing is that he only withdrew it because it was going to be defeated! Here I was hoping the man developed a conscience (if that is what you can call public humiliation) maybe he did.

Maybe he should be subjected to a cure for ignorance “Becoming informed”

  6. Huge victory for the vulnerable children of Brazil.

He didn’t remove the bill because he grew a conscience, he removed the bill because he realised it would fail. This means he or anyone else is free to re-submit the bill at a later date, whereas if they had voted on it, it would be dead and dusted. It was a tactical move, as the Evangelical political bloc in Brazil believe that there will be more Evangelical senators and congressmen after the next election in 2014, and the bill will have a better chance of passing. I wouldn’t celebrate just yet.

  8. thisi crap comes from the evangelicals

What the world needs is a cure for hatred of gay people.

In the USA the evangelicals – the new name for the southern baptists – justified slavery as per the bible

they are a spinoff of the dutch church that created apartheid in south africa.

In this country we call them white trash
