US Christian radio host Linda Harvey, has attacked the US Supreme Court for its rulings in two key equal marriage cases last week, to call the justices “clueless, immoral leadership”.

Speaking on her Mission America radio show, Harvey attacked the Supreme Court justices for striking down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and for refusing to rule on California’s Proposition 8, therefore rendering it defunct.

She said that children would be those affected most by the ruling, claiming their “access to truth would be denied”, reports Right Wing Watch.

“It’s our children, especially those children in the states and the District of Columbia where this is now legal, who will suffer the most because their access to truth is going to be denied,” she said.

“Homosexual militants will now have their dreams fulfilled that American children will march to this new tune.”

The radio host then went on to say that parents with children in the US public school system should go into private schools: “Concerned parents would be wise in same-sex parents states to remove your children from the public schools, things are about to get very oppressive for people of faith.”

On Wednesday, the US Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which federally defined marrage as between one man and one woman.

In the second case, around California’s Proposition 8, the Supreme Court ruled that such a ruling was not in its jurisdiction, nor was it in the jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit Court, which previously ruled, therefore deferring the decision to a previous ruling by a district court which decided the ban was unconstitutional.

These cases were seen as key in the campaign for equality in the US, and have been widely reported.
