  1. Three down…just another umpteen to go.

  2. At this pace most republicans will support it by 2030.
Congrats for the ones that actually do !

    Well done, Senator.

  4. Murkowski is an interesting case in terms of US right wing politicians. Not only is she fairly broadly pro-choice (this alone is unusual) but she won her current seat by being a write-in candidate, since she lost the Republican nomination to someone else.

Fair to say her electorate quite like her to have gone to that kind of trouble, rather than act like robots and vote on whoever has an (R) next to their name. That her election depended on the willingness of voters, she must be quite secure in this choice and not feeling at risk of abandonment (more politicians are opportunists after all).

I also understand she is sort of on the fringes of the Republican party (in fairness, I thought she had stood as an independent, could be wrong on that). Given how the mainstream party has been infested by a lunatic core of evangelical wingnuts, the fringes are the best place to be to not be contaminated by their hysterical stupidity.
