  1. Nonsense arguments easily debunked time and time again.

This is nothing but more tedious grunting from an ill-educated troglodyte who has probably been hit in the head far too many times (or not enough, depending on your point of view).

  2. Please stop reporting these ignorant fools. It has become very tedious.

    1. Yes exactly. Stop giving this stupidity a platform!

      1. No. These things MUST be reported, because they’re out there and they’re being heard by 100s of 1000s of other bigots and we need to KNOW about it.

Hide your head in the sand, if you like. That’s your right. Lots of people do it. Listen to sweet music. Bury yourself in a hobby. Ignore gay politics. But some of us care. Even if the homophobes are dumbos, like this fella.

        1. The last thing it needs is reporting – these idiots do it for the attention and airtime, they know it will cause an uproar in press now.

        2. I’m with you. These fools needs to be exposed for what they are, and need to be challenged otherwise it becomes normal. Sometimes it needs just a simple dismissal like ‘another rant from the ignorant who clearly don’t understand the issues’.

  3. That There Other David 13 Jun 2013, 5:50pm

He needs to work on his blocking movements. He’s quite obviously allowing through punches and kicks to the head.

  4. Rob Ireland 13 Jun 2013, 5:56pm

    What a Moron!

  5. Who cares what some fighter random thinks. How is this even news? Headline: Random guy makes bigoted comment.

  6. GulliverUK 13 Jun 2013, 6:11pm

Stick to trying to band your fists against somebody else’s head – it’s what you do best. Rational and complicated analytically thinking isn’t your wrong point :-p

Now run along and play with the other brain-damaged idiots.

  7. Hands up everyone who fantasises about having a foursome with a sibling, their mother and the family pet. No one? Just him then.

    1. My cat is kinda cute. She might like it but I would get too much fur in my mouth.

  8. Body by Nautilus brain by Mattel.

  9. Oh, these dumbo boxers and fighters, they don’t come up with very imaginative worst-possible-scenarios, do they?

We’ve had the “best” ones, I think, from bookish religious loons. They’ve been really inventive.

But “incest, bestiality, and child marriages”? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

    “Must try harder!”, I’m afraid.

    Back to your boxing, boy.

  10. I see being punched in the head has raised his IQ significantly!!!!

  11. Red-Neck Jed from the USA. 13 Jun 2013, 6:34pm

Ooooo. Hey, Josh! You’re all man, you are, mate! There’s no doubt ’bout where you’re comin’ from! You’re a true hetero! And let no one say other!

    1. Here!! Here!!

      1. Christopher Kay 15 Jun 2013, 1:56am

        *hear hear

  12. tasha winter 13 Jun 2013, 6:39pm

In the same content as “God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve ” blah blah blah ,why is this news ?

    1. Adam copped off with a clone of himself grafted from his own rib tissue who would have had to shag her own offspring (both boys) to produce the grandkids…
I love it when conservative wingnuts bang on about Adam and Eve as the template for ‘traditional’ marriage – just within 2 generations we have mating with a genetically engineered clone of yourself and the world’s very first oedipus complex writ large.
“Clone couples and mo-fos not Adam and Steve” doesn’t make such a catchy slogan though!

  13. My neighbour says she’s in favour of marriage equality; does Pink News want to publish an article about her? This randomer’s opinion is no more worth publicising than her’s is.

  14. I think someone has had not too many blows to the head!

    Idiot!

  15. I think he should stick to the only thing he seems good at, looking pretty. He certainly doesn’t have much of a brain behind that body.

  16. Marriage to animals and siblings may lead to more mixed martial arts fighters.

    1. Lol!! Zing!!

  17. Don’t these idiots ever come up with something new? Oh, wait — they can’t — “new” is bad.

We draw the line wherever we want to. How hard is that to figure out?

  18. Oh Josh you are a one.

  19. I can never really understand this type of argument. Clearly marrying (and I would assume sex with) siblings, children and animals is playing heavily on his mind, and if he is the sort of dirty b@stard that wants to have sex with his siblings, children or animals, he should maybe keep such thoughts to himself and strongly consider getting medical help Disgusting little fvcker.

  20. WantsToKnow 13 Jun 2013, 7:44pm

I think he’s taken one too many punches to the head…

  21. Wim Lammers 13 Jun 2013, 7:47pm

This happens when someone has no brains.

  22. I reckon a goldfish has more cells than him.

  23. As a matter of interest – what would people here say to someone who says, I’m bisexual, I’m in love with a man and a woman at the same time, they are both in love with me and with each other, and we want to marry one another? What I’m really asking is – if marriage really is about love, then what IS wrong with polygamy? There are about 50 countries around the world that have polygamous marriage, in some form, as we speak.

    1. Polygamy is primarily a hetrosexual phenomenon, as, I understand, is incest. How extending existing rights to same-sex couples would lead to such things needs a bit of explanation. However if you wish to campaign for polygamy, feel free.

      As for pets,,,,

      1. My answer is always “who said gay marriage is the only slippery slope to polygamy”?
For starters, as you rightly point out polygamy and incest are more often than not heterosexual in nature.
For another thing, those countries which legalise polygamy are predominantly those countries which carry draconian penalties for gay espression of any sort, let alone marriage. Do they ever get cautioned “I’m telling you, all this polygamy will be the slippery slope to gay marriage”? Somehow I doubt it.
Drawing a line in the sand before gay marriage is an arbitary cutoff point for this theoretical slippery slope.
By the same rationale you could argue that any marriage at all is the slippery slope to polygamy and incest… one is simply adding additional spouses, the other is adding family members.
Ultimately polygamy, incest and gay marriage are seperate concepts to be legislated on their own merits.
I’m no more responsible for the polygamy of others than polygamy is responsible for my gayness.

    2. if marriage really is about love

But is it? Or is it just as much, or more, about kinship rights (becoming legal next-of-kin) and property rights? I don’t think love, in itself, requires a certificate to validate it.

  24. Wim Lammers 13 Jun 2013, 7:53pm

This happens when someone is onely hate. Unreasonable hate.

  25. Just another f***ing idiot. Move on.

  26. I think he doth protest too much… Perhaps he’s still in the closet. Seen it before. HATE this guy and his embicilic, meat-headed statement. With the steroids he takes his balls must be the size of marbles! Lol

  27. There is a reason he is a mixed martial arts figher and not a political philosopher…

  28. Apparently someone has been hit in the head a few times too many!

  29. WOW! Comparing same sex marriage to bestiality is beyond absurd! First, did you ask yourself you can get consent from an animal for a human being and an an animal getting married? Your comments are insensitive, appaling, and most of all, hurtful to many Americans! Stop being ignorant and open your eyes. Polygamy is older than same sex marriage. Just read the Bible! People already redifined marriage for many years! You should think many times before you open your mouth! If you support equality, then SHOW it! Did those 15 nations who have same sex marriage laws have implemented any kind of marriages you are suggesting? ?? Is bestiality and polygamy are legal in Canada or Netherlands, or France? Don’t use those arguments as an excuse and incite fear to many so you can deny rights for LGBT! Educate yourself Mr. Thomson. You are making many people SICK!

  30. Christopher in Canada 13 Jun 2013, 10:12pm

And here we have proof, in one fell swoop, of the state of American Education.

  31. friday jones 13 Jun 2013, 10:37pm

Aren’t Judeo-Christian and Muslim texts rife with examples of child marriage and polygyny? As well as slave-raping and bride-kidnapping? So how is it that gay marriage leads to these things that the other religions once endorsed but now pretend not to any more?

    1. You hit the nail on the head!!

  32. that slope starts with straight marriage

  33. Sorry for disappointing you Josh, but you are not smart enough, you can’t even think straight (no pun intended). Kicks made you brainless.

  34. N E A N D E R T H A L…

  35. in amerika, california is known as the land of the crazies and joshie is livin’ proof.

  36. Dumbass guy has confused marital arts with martial arts and thinks he’s some kind of expert on relationships.

    1. Christopher in Canada 14 Jun 2013, 2:41am

      Very good!!

  37. lukefromcanada 14 Jun 2013, 2:59am

most of the possible things mentioned usually involve people of the opposite sex, for instance usually polygamy involves 1 man and more than one woman, incest is usually between and a male and female etc. So in order to claim that somehow two men getting married will lead to this obviously has NO idea what they are talking about and just use it to stoke fear even though it will not happen

  38. What do you expect from a man with a body like a bag of walnuts and a brain with as much intelligence as a walnut.

  39. I am so sick of us being compared to dogs and children.

  40. jamestoronto 14 Jun 2013, 4:13am

“I’m talking about where does it stop? Where do you draw the line?”

Hopefully it stops at not allowing you to marry and breed more bigots like yourself.

  41. GulliverUK 14 Jun 2013, 9:03am

    And now the drawing back from the edge;

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/6/13/4427312/josh-thomson-issues-statement-clarifying-controversial-gay-marriage

“I am not against gay rights or gay marriage in anyway,” stated Thomson. “My comments were completely taken out of context by some members of the media and I have since removed them out of respect for anyone who may have been offended. It was not my intention to offend or hurt anyone.”

Whilst theoretical crystal-ball gazing and brain-storming do have their merits, nobody anywhere has lobbied for nor proposed polygamy, or sibling marriage, nor incestual marriage (although that has a Biblical precedent). None of those are part of any legislation being proposed — anywhere, by anyone. We can only reasonably discuss proposals which actually have been put forward – and those proposals are the same ones which have been put forward for decades. This is just another deliberate attempt to bring up the slippery slope.

  42. I am guessing this MORON went into martial arts cause he is too thick to do a worth while job – once again MORON!

  43. Jock S. Trap 14 Jun 2013, 10:34am

I question his comment ‘I also am smart enough’

His comment he is anything but.

  44. Where exactly are these legions of people campaigning for incest marriage?

  45. The Halcyon 14 Jun 2013, 10:49am

Surely *heterosexual marriage* is the first step to legalising “incest, bestiality and child marriages”. Same-sex marriage would be the third step (as the law allows people who have changed their gender to marry which would be the logical second step) .

And until 100 (or so) years ago, child marriages _were_ legal. Mary Queen of Scots famously was four years old when she was wedded to the Dauphin.

Also in the news – Norman Tebbit wants to marry his son, as does Jeremy Irons and those two spinster sisters wanted to enter into a civil partnership so they could avoid paying Inheritance Tax. Slippery slope.

As for bestiality – Katie Price has been married three times so what’s the problem?

  46. i think he is mixing up gay people with rednecks !

  47. essexgirlbecky 14 Jun 2013, 11:05am

Why do you give idiots like this the credence that their opinion counts. The fact that he used to be a champion is irrelevant. This guy is a nobody.

If you spent all your time reporting on the number of never-was-beens who thought same-sex marriage would open the door to bestiality, paedophilia, polygamy, mad-cow disease, babies with two heads etc, then these pages would be full of reports like this.

    … oh … !!!

  48. KJ in Maryland 14 Jun 2013, 6:54pm

It seems to me that people like this spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about bestiality, incest and plural marriage. I think they are mental voyeurs with an unhealthy predisposition to contemplate the intimate activities of strangers. Yet they dare to call us deviants and perverts!

It’s one of their “slippery slope” arguments, and it fails all tests of sound logic.

  49. If he can’t tell the difference between consenting adults and children or animals, he has much greater issues to attend to than trying to understand equal marriage.

  50. It’s true, back when we started letting black and white people marry, it led almost immediately to people marrying their pets. Josh, has the swelling of your brain gone down yet?

  51. yeah, but get a load of those abs.

  52. “Give women the vote? Where will it end? Soon we’ll have to give dogs and cats the vote, as well as inanimate objects! It’s PC gone mad!”

  53. Michael Breen 14 Jun 2013, 7:17pm

Dude. Go back to punching your mates in the ass in the showers and keep your uneducated bigotry to yourself. Maybe a real man needs to hit you hard enough to stop you breathing, forever

  54. It’s already been said a billion times but I suppose I’ll just say it again.

Difference between marriage between 2 homosexuals and bestiality, pedophilia and incest is:

2 homosexuals are 2 consenting adults in a monogamous relationship.

Bestiality lacks consent, pedophilia lacks consent, and incest is biologically dangerous when it comes to reproduction.

See, same sex marriage doesn’t harm anyone, neither the people in the relationship (since they are both consenting) neither does it pose a threat to the human race. Cool? Cool.

  55. People already force young girls to marry! 9, 10, 11 year old girls marrying older men in some countries! It’s sickening.

You know what’s NOT sickening? Two grown men who love each other and just want to b equal to any other couple in the eyes of the law.
