  1. Does he feel sufficiently threatened to be in contact with law enforcement – Death threats are never acceptable.

If not, if he hasn’t taken any pro-active steps, then I’m inclined to put his “concerns” down to media spinning on the meaningless random babbling of one idiot.

After all, in terms of violence, let’s remember who got shot in the Village recently, and who has an email to deal with. I know which would worry me a lot more as a resident of NYC.

Why do I get the feeling that if we checked with the NYPD, we’ed find they had no record of him reporting death threats.

  3. If this man really cared about the welfare of his children he would oppose homophobia.

“The socially-conservative minister says the threats now make him nervous over the safety of his children.”

Ironically it is the very anti-equality group that supports him that should make him nervous over the safety of his children.

  5. So, Mr. Salgado you feel threatened and unsafe? Welcome to our world you homophobic bigot. Now, perhaps you’ll do something to make the world safer for LGBT people. Until that day arrives, I just don’t feel sorry for you or your children.

    1. I mostly agree with you but his kids are not to blame for his bigoted views, nor should they have to suffer any consequences because of them.

  6. Saying he deserves to die is rude and stupid, but it is NOT a death threat.

I am worried for his children too.

His bigotry makes him a very bad parent and his children deserve to be protected from him.

  7. I can almost hear NOM typing up the hype for this. -_-

  8. He’s a bad parent role model ,bigot homophobe. And I’ve had death threats for being gay from those this evil man supports.

I’d like to see the text of the letters in order to determine whether or not they so much as mention the NOM endorsement. Candidates, especially minority candidates, receive death threats constantly, usually from right-wing lone-nutters.
