  1. Party due to the homophobia whipped up by certain MP’s-certain TV/radio discussion programmes-[partly due to certain Newspapers blatant prejudices.

  2. Such a shame for this to happen just before Oxford Pride on Saturday!

  3. The attackers wore “blazers or suit jackets with elbow patches”?

This suggests they were posh, and possibly even Oxford University students.

Homophobic attacks are generally conducted by “the lower orders”. This is a change.

    SHAME!

    1. No it doesn’t. You obviously don’t go shopping very often, or do so with your eyes closed, because elbow patches have been a design feature found on most high street clothing brands for a good few seasons. As they’re somewhat passe now, where I live, they’re mostly only worn by “the lower orders”.

I look forward to hearing about the police dragnet issued for “two white guys with short hair and blazers or suit jackets with elbow patches” in Oxford. I assume an equivalent response to that in a black neighborhood when the description is “two black guys with hoodies or backwards baseball caps.”

“This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a… car of some sort, heading in the direction of… you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless.”
