    Of course they will.
That is what hate mongers do.
    Warning though:
You shall reap what you sow.

    1. I just hope they are not able to include the amendements they want to introduce in the bill, such as special exemptions for teachers and registrars.

  2. Forcing others, non-believers, to comply with your dogmatic bilge is nothing short of tyranny – Which, given the amount of blood that soak the Cult of Rome, is about par for the course.

Now, yesterday someone had to nerve to bleat “but not all christians/catholics/delete as applicable are horrible hateful bigoted filth.” Really? They do it in YOUR name. If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas, so clean your bloody dog.

    1. The Catholic Church is a loathsome criminal organisation with a smiling face and an unctuous sanctimonious message of hate and oppression. It should have no voice in a democratic parliament nor one in an unelected House of Lords.

      1. ‘Jewry is a loathsome criminal organisation with a smiling face and an unctuous sanctimonious message of hate and oppression. It should have no voice in a democratic parliament nor one in an unelected House of Lords’ (did Himmler say this ?)

Oops sorry , (remove Jewry) you were saying that about catholics! –
“Catholic baiting is the anti-Semitism of the liberals.”

So much for ‘diversity’ from the homophile lobby !

  3. Mumbo Jumbo 7 Jun 2013, 1:21pm

It’s a pity the’re not opposed to raping children and covering it up.

    1. Midnighter 7 Jun 2013, 1:48pm

Indeed – are these the sorts of people you really want influencing what goes on in schools?

  4. Colin (London) 7 Jun 2013, 1:28pm

There is nothing good about this organisation to me.

After the House of Commons and the House of Lords pretty much sanction “EQUALITY” they still dare to attempt to justify their existence

Fine shout it loud and louder so as modern society will see them for what they are…. Control freaks who money grab and offer people a better life after they are dead… Best money spinner I know off.

    Sect… Get shot of them..

  5. Dear Catholic Church:

The house of Lords, let me repeat that. THE HOUSE OF LORDS, a house known for it’s conservatism has approved this bill for a second reading with larger majority than the house of commons did! Get over it! Stop trying to force your morality on other people! Go ahead, vote against the bill. You’ll lose anyway.

    1. very good comment here, here

  6. That There Other David 7 Jun 2013, 1:32pm

Give it up charlatans. Nobody’s listening, not even countries where Catholics are the majority.

    1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 7 Jun 2013, 2:48pm

True-true-true, That There Other David ! Very true !

  7. Don Harrison 7 Jun 2013, 1:49pm

The Catholic Church is already throwing away their members,

  8. Jen Marcus 7 Jun 2013, 1:59pm

…And I will continue to oppose the Roman Catholic Church with its backward, Medieval thinking and theology and the way it treats women and the LGBT community.

  9. The sad thing is that there are still some gay people stupid and self-hating enough to be active Catholics.

    1. Beelzeebub 7 Jun 2013, 2:49pm

Being indoctrinated as a child has a powerful hold over some people as adults.

That why they like to recruit them whilst there young

      1. Isn’t that how religion spreads itself, by preying on the young and inoccent.

Every child is born without religion, some have it forced upon them.

        1. Midnighter 7 Jun 2013, 8:39pm

I’ve had Christians get cross with me for suggesting that they propagate their religion by brainwashing children. I just quote from the manual:

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it”. Proverbs, 22:6

  10. And all evolved, intelligent decent people will oppose this vile, institution of irrelevant superstitions until it is nothing more than regrettable history!

  11. Dear Catholic Church,

How about you spend your time doing some good, such as looking after the needy.

You are losing this battle and it is time you walked away with any dignity that you may have left, intact?

The free thinker and tolerant people of the world.

  12. Is the Catholic Church granted tax immunity in the UK?

If so, then participation in political action is illegal for them. I say revoke their tax-free status, let them pay up, big time.

    1. Colin (London) 7 Jun 2013, 2:32pm

Any free thinking person should agree with this. spot on.

  13. Helge Vladimir Tiller 7 Jun 2013, 2:44pm

NO SURPRISE- NO SURPRISE ! You are stuck on medieval “fascism”. The Catholic Church- in England or elsewhere, should start thinking about all the gay young boys and lesbian girls who have committed suicide due to Christian judgement. I have known 7–SEVEN ! I’m an expert on these matters – ’cause I have experienced it myself-

  14. The sheer hypocrisy of the Catholic heirarchy is breathtaking. Remind me why Cardinal O’ Brien quit??

    1. But they’re ill, Pat, they’re ill. They’re sick and they’re deluded. They’re magnificent at excusing their own idiocy. They’re as deluded as Islamic terrorists blowing themselves up in the belief that they’ll soon be bathing in paradise, along with scores of virgins.

  15. While we’re on the subject protecting children in the teaching environment, I would like to propose an amendment to the Equal Marriage Bill to the effect that teachers should be forbidden to teach Catholocisn and all other pernicious lies to children under 16.

And further, that all ‘celebate’ priests be banned from all schools and places where children may congregate.

    1. I doubt that will be put to Parliament, but it might make quite a good epetition:

  16. GulliverUK 7 Jun 2013, 4:30pm

I tried twice to write something but was so angry with their leaders that anything I wrote just didn’t capture how pissed I am at them.

I would just say it’s absolutely wrong to try to impose your religious beliefs on others, it really is tyranny. If they want to practice that in their church, fine, I’m happy if it helps them, but to me it’s all a lie, and I will not have fake religious ideology imposed on me. To me all religion is fake.

Disproving Christianity: Jesus is a LIE
Best bits start 5 mins in.

    1. ‘I would just say it’s absolutely wrong to try to impose your religious beliefs on others, it really is tyranny’

I totally agree and so does the Church.Marriage for us and people of other faiths and none , means the union of a man and a woman – always has done .Now if you want to say that marriage should be between people of the same sex , or three people , or two people and a hamster – who is imposing a distorted ideology and their belief on others ?.it’s a bit like saying people who put food under their armpits should be allowed to call this ‘eating’ or ‘equal eating’ – take it through the house of Lords , pass laws , teach it in schools – it still remains a lie just like same sex pseudo marriage .It’s a physical impossibility .Eating with ones armpit is just as much a contradiction as homosexual ‘marriage’ – it does not exist and anyone of good faith and reason can see this – nothing to do with religion .

  17. Robert (Kettering) 7 Jun 2013, 5:38pm

I was watching the programme about William Tyndale last night He’s the 16th English priest who translated The Bible into English.

Anyway, it was appalling how he was hounded by the Catholic Church and finally burned at the stake for daring to translate the Bible so ordinary folk could read it for themselves. He was murdered on the orders of the Holy Roman Emperor.

Times still haven’t changed as far as Rome is concerned and they murdered and tortured throughout history and they’re still doing it now by the way they’re persecuting the LGBT community.

I think it’s high time the Pope and the whole Roman gang of criminals was shipped of to The Hague to face charges of Crimes against Humanity!

  18. Diana Hodson 7 Jun 2013, 5:42pm

being brought up Catholic, i must admit, have never been subject, personally to any form of homophobia within the Church at all,, however in view of that, & other stuff too, i have been abstainer for several decades now, & instead have my own spirituality instead— a mighty strange religious sect, RC’s,however my views on abortion laws are “in line” with them, & one can never totally forget any “indoctrination” which can probably be at its most extreme in RC schools, (eg women are laden with “guilt” —i advize anyone with any sense to abstain too !

  19. Christopher Coleman 7 Jun 2013, 6:05pm

The Catholic Church will eventually embrace the idea. Just give them a few hundred years.

  20. Lost InFrance 7 Jun 2013, 8:13pm

The catholic church continue to place themselves in the minority. Their wretched bleating only furthers the cause of self depravation, where of course they enjoy nothing better than playing victim. However, they might remember that the majority of UK citizens are pro equal marriage. The current panto pope thinks wearing a white gown in rejection to Ratzingers ridiculous clown collection sends out some message of humility. Meanwhile spouting hatred towards LGTBQs confounds any sh*ty pity they may have gained from a pro equal marriage populous. Keep digging papa..and as the headline goes, WE will continue to oppose the Catholic Church

  21. 50% or more priests are estimated to be gay. RC church terrified it will get out of hand. More may be closet gays !

    Should I go on?

  23. Janet Lameck 7 Jun 2013, 11:47pm

The Catholic church is little different from the Westboro Baptist Church. They both preach HATE!

    1. The Pink News followers have more in common with Westboro so-called ‘church’ (how many folk are in it …5 ?? !!) – intolerant , seething in hatred for the Catholic Church , a tiny perverse minority who want to distort marriage and make acts of gross indecency legal by calling it so-called ‘equal marriage’ .

We Catholics look on those who label themselves ‘gay’ and have same-sex attraction issues as follows :

‘They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.’

so much for hate , eh ?

      1. As a seminarian of 3 years, in the late 1950’s, at 18 years of age, I told my novice master that I thought I was homosexual.
I was immediately dispensed from my vows, given the address of a doctor who would “treat” me with electricity and left the religious life.
I went home and went to Mass on the Sunday.
Half way thro’ the Mass, I got up and walked out of the church (building) and the Church (institution).
All this, long before Vatican II and in the papacy of John xxiii.
I have never been in a church since.
The priest who gave me that “advice” is still alive, in Wales, no doubt still spewing his nonsense and in his 80’s.

“So much for hate, eh? ” – as your closing remark says.

        Yes, indeed.

      2. You are in thrall to a discredited, outmoded theology long since discarded by thinking people. Even theology moves on….you need to open your mind and learn to think for yourself, not simply parrot the “teachings” of a compromised Church.

        1. not theology. MYtheology, eg MYTHeology

  24. Many of the above views(Rome-o-phobic) are worthy of Der Stürmer (the Anti-Catholic Pink News of it’s day):

“Catholic baiting is the anti-Semitism of the liberals.”

    1. Midnighter 8 Jun 2013, 11:46am

So which is it – are liberals to blame, or right wing socialists? Your argument is fallacious and your own examples are laughably contradictory.

All you have proven here is that cherry picking and illogic is a way of life for the religiously impaired.

Ironic that you quote the argument of a man who was reacting to his Nazi-sympathiser father, written at a time when the Nazis had recently pursued a campaign against the Catholic church which went a tad beyond ‘baiting’, if you read a little history. Few consider Hitler to be a liberal.

Not everyone who dislikes Catholicism is a liberal, nor are they all journalists writing for right wing papers.

    2. The rc church is trying to impose its version of morality and its beliefs on us. Therefore they are open to critisim and investigation of who they are and what they stand for. Anti semitism is not based in reality, this critism of the rc church is.fact They were complicit in the cover up of thousands upon thousands of child abuse cases.fact They kept women as slaves in ireland in the madgline laundries.fact Every day their members spout hatred to tgeir followers and incite hatred for lgbt people and womens rights. Explain why critising and dispising sUch an orginisation is wrong?

      1. Laugh at them, Gunn. They are deluded. They are loons. They actually believe in ghosts!!!!!! And a virgin birth, and no end of mumbo-jumbo. They’re SICK.

  25. And of course they will continue to try and hide the endless molestation of children by their sex starved victim of not normal celibacy priests.
