  2. tut tut Pink news you are biased! where are fotos of the lesbians? the Christian gays and lesbians? people came out to support you know and all you show is a handful of people. And who is that with Peter what about his people who gave up their time to support ? Whilst i am not saying that you have to put pics of everyone there I mean there are NO LESBIANS there were we not there ? Yes we were – you wouldnt know it from Lesbian hating pink news

    1. This is just ridiculous. For one thing, there is a lesbian in the article, did you somehow not notice the picture of lesbian peer Liz Barker halfway down? And also, how the hell can you accuse pinknews of being anti-lesbian?!

    2. Erm are you Barmy…?

The photos of the speakers were taken in front of the Londons Gay Men Chorus who formed the wedding singer backdrops… What would you have PinkNews do… It wasnt ther event, their news reporters and anyway I think there’s great balance here. Most of the actual centrally photographed characters are WOMEN!

  3. Equal marriage is not just about HOMOSEXUAL MALE marriage you know… am shocked that you didnt show the lesbians that were there and that you even deleted my first comment. Gender Discrimination is a crime you know

    1. For goodness sake, grow up and stop whinging. It is impossible to include photographs of everyone on this forum, there isn’t the space.

    2. It did seem a bit strange that the protesters in the pics are all male.

    4. Lizzie see my point above.

But in addition to your ludicrous comments: not all men are gay, theres heterosexual and bisexual and other sexualities too.

Re the lesbians question, Baroness Barker is a lesbian and is in the photo. None of the actual PinkNews team was there as we were all watching, reporting and editing coverage of the debate. We were sent photographs by our Out4Marriage colleagues who were only at some of the vigil in between fixing overload issues on the LobbyALord website.

I’m sorry if we can’t always cover things how you like but we have to do the best we can with our resources while also with no funding running a significant campaign for equal marriage.

    Hi folks,

I took four of the photos displayed in this post. They were taken because I was at the vigil for the briefest amount of time and I chose to take pictures of the speakers at the vigil. These speakers were talking with a backdrop of the London Gay Men’s Chorus.

I don’t work for PinkNews, I simply sent the photos in because they were busy covering the debate and I felt it would be helpful. It was not, as some have suggested, a calculated snub of lesbians, or anybody else present who didn’t happen to be a speaker. That of course includes the lesbian Baroness Barker, who I did take a photo of.

I may be there tonight and, if so, the point I’ll take away from this is that it might have been nice to send some of the crowd in too. Tonight, I shall photograph you all. You have been warned. :)

  6. Thanks for photos. Clip on BBC News at Ten last night was positive though brief.

  7. Didnt read the article..couldnt due to the excessive drooling over the wonderful Russell which seems to have broken my keyboard…

    1. You should always read the small print – he might have said he’s looking for a husband!
