  2. Let it be LOUDLY and WIDELY known that all politicians who vote against equality will have their names and how they voted against equality kept in a VISIBLE and PUBLIC record, which their ancestors will readily be able to access.

    The Bill will pass of that I’m sure perhaps by a small majority. But… I think it’s incumbent upon all of us to persistently remind these nasty hypocrites and bigots of what they are. The bloody nerve of people voting against our rights when they don’t even represent the British people. This clearly cries out for reform, ideally abolition of that antiquated, undemocratic feudal system.

For some people that’ll be slightly later, but for some who oppose equal marriage, it’ll be *years* before they’re dragged into the 21st century and truly understand equality. Will they feel any shame at their previous opposition, I wonder?

    A Muslim, a successful businesman, and gay and proud of it to the point of having worked hard to change the attitudes of homophobic colleagues in the Lords: how impressive is that!

    He’s a role model not only for young Asian gays and lesbians, but for all of us.

    More biased coverage from BBC news, this time on their website. Totally ignoring the overwhelming majority that the legislation passed with in the Commons, they make it sound as though it just squeezed through and they focus on the opposition there:

      They used the same biased way of presenting the figures in their article about Carey, which as I noted elsewhere gave the headline and first two thirds of the article (by word count) over to his views, and only the last portion to opposing views.

      I would like Pink News to question the BBC what part of impartiality don’t they get when it comes to Marriage equality. They say they’re not supposed to take sides when it comes to politics yet they seem to have no problem here.

      If the BBC is clearly so opposed to Marriage Equality when we all have to pay for their License then Why should any of us have pay for them?

      Why do I have to support a company that doesn’t work for me but opposes me?

      It’s time the BBC was taken up on it’s behaviour towards marriage.

    Too many of those opposed don’t seem to care who they offend by the language they use. It’s shameful.

    I have long come to the conclusion that when it comes to ‘Religious Freedom’ it Only concerns those of a Christian faith…. stuff all else!

  17. lol I am fully in favor of marriage equality but this man is a complete hypocrite. The Quran denounces homosexuality as evil and sinful at least 4 times or more and is very clear about it unlike much of the Bible’s language.

    4) Making people captives is forbidden and is treated as a crime like murder (Revelation 13:9)
    5) There was three types of servitude in ancient Israel, a) servants and handmaids who were hired, b) bondservant given little or no wages, c) purchased or adopted servants. The hired servants received their wages (Leviticus 19:13). The purchased servants though maybe freed by their owners, they can be forever member of the household (Leviticus 25:44-46)
    6) Gender distinction must be observed, the female servants must never be exposed to risks outside the

  20. I find people, like Bato, infinitely amusing in the way they cherry pick through the Bible in an attempt to show us that they’re superior to us in every way and how we’re damned, whereas they will enjoy the joys of their imagined heaven.

    Were they to actually read it, instead of skimming it for nose thumbing passages, they might come across one pertinent verse that will give them pause, and I’m referring to Proverbs 16:18, which says; Pride goeth before a destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Let’s hope his nose is well padded because that pavement is awfully hard.
