FFS. These people really are insane.

  2. Do these people really not have anything better to do?

  3. Oh … those ‘loving’ christians! At it again. Why can’t they just ignore the anti-gay bits in the bible like they ignore so many other ‘inconvenient’ sections? Those on burning witches and condoning slavery for example?

All of this futile praying hasn’t done much in 12 states.

Less than 300 turned up outside of Parliament last Monday and Tuesday to pray away the legislation. It would seem their god looked favourably on the bill and not on them praying for discrimination, delusional loons.

In a cruel twist of irony, it turns out that prayer doesn’t work.

  6. Perhaps they could fast… forever? :)))

  7. What happens if after all that praying the Supreme Court comes out in favour of gay marriage. Any chance the Catholics will think God is pro-gay after all?

It’s either that or deciding prayer is useless.

    Tough choice for them.

  8. Here’s something the catholic in the pew could well pray over:

Sex-abuse investigations rip open Catholic Church’s secret files
For centuries, the church has maintained a second set of books containing sensitive documents such as notes on priests’ alcohol abuse, disputes over parish funds and, later, molestation allegations:,0,1511948.story

  9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Go on, pray your hearts out. See what good it will do. Those starving children in Africa have been praying all their lives and their ‘god’ has never done s*** for them. If only all zealots would just stop picketing, stop yelling, and just pray instead. Then we could all get on with our lives.

It is a great pity these old paedophiles in gold frocks and pointy hats didn’t put so much effort into the care and protection of the worlds children which they were entrusted with the care of. Instead they protected and enabled the clerics who raped and molested the worlds children for hundreds of years and then when they were caught blamed the children. I don’t think we have anything to worry about from these old perverts prayers because even IF there was some magic sky daddy listening to their prayers it is hardly going to start listening to the prayers of mortals now when it didn’t listen to the anguished cries of little boys in the middle of the night when some crusty old priest was raping them….. !!

  11. I hope US Catholics will pray and ask for a fast track on same-sex marriage by the Supreme Court!

    1. That’s probably what they will do, if not doing so already.
Catholicism is turning into the Imperial Cult of Ancient Rome, a religion for the masters of society, but giving nothing but contempt for the masses who are expected to follow. The priesthood just keeps getting further and further out of touch with normal Catholic believers.

  12. At first sight I thought it read “Catholics told to fart and spray…”

  13. You’ve got to laugh, haven’t you!

  14. This is the same Cardinal Timothy Dolan who has yet to say so much as a word in condemnation of the anti-gay violence he has contributed to causing.
Even the homophobes at the FRC and NOM have taken time out of their busy, busy days to condemn the violence. But Cardinal Timothy Dolan remains suspiciously silent.

  15. These nutters will never recognise the truth even if it’s right in front of their faces. They just say is the work of the devil.

  16. There’s war, poverty, and over a billion starving people in the world, but we’re most concerned about two blokes bumming.

The Christian plan: sp[end your time doing something that affects nothing. I camn get behind this.
