Anti-gay Christian radio host Bryan Fischer has again commented on the Boy Scouts of America’s (BSA) recent decision to allow gay youth members, to say that the organisation should be renamed the “Boy Sodomisers of America”.

Last week, the BSA’s final vote on the issue of gay members took place in Dallas-Fort Worth, Grapevine, where over 60% of the 1,400 strong national council of local leaders, voted to lift the national ban.

Fischer, the head of the American Family Association, spoke on his radio bulletin, Focal Point, to say that the BSA should be renamed, and that gay members should be forcibly drowned, rather than included within the organisation.

“We might as well rename this organisation… now BSA no longer stands for the Boy Scouts of America, it now stands for the ‘Boy Sodomisers of America’, because that is exactly what is going to happen.

“The infamous crime against nature now, has been normalised, it’s been endorsed, it’s been embraced now, by scouting leadership. This is a sobering word for the Boy Scouts of America from Luke chapter 17, these are the words of Jesus himself… ‘Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe woe woe to the one through whom they come.

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones, to stumble’, I would not wanna be in the shoes of a Boy Scouts Executive, standing before the throne of God, being judged by the man who spoke those words, by the God who spoke those words, that is not gonna be a pretty picture.”

Fischer last week also tweeted to suggest that forced drowning would be a better option for scouts than the inclusion of gay members.

Fischer tweeted in January to say that a convicted paedophile was the new “poster boy” for the BSA. He said: ”Jerry Sandusky is now the poster boy for the Boy Scouts of America,” on the announcement that it would consider lifting the ban. He did not note, however, that Sandusky would not have been affected by the ban, as he was married to a woman.

He later tweeted: “A homosexual does not belong in the same tent with young boys any more than a man belongs in a tent full of Girl Scouts.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry, also voiced his disappointment at the Boy Scouts of America’s decision to lift its national ban on gay youth members, saying that he was “greatly disappointed” in the decision.
