  1. The answer is to BOYCOTT these countries. Don’t go to Russia for your holidays-similarly don’t re-locate to Northern Ireland and let the company you work for know that these countries contravene their equal opportunities policies. Actions speak louder than words!!

  2. Nikolai Alexeyev and those working with him are very brave individuals. I hope they will be released swiftly.

They deserve the thanks of all the people of Russia for their struggle to maintain the right to peaceful free speech for all.

The Council of Europe and its human rights court (the ECtHR) have no power beyond moral disapproval. But given how consistently and persistently Russia has been in breach of the convention, the Council of Europe needs to be expressing its disapproval a lot more loudly than it has done so far.

Best of luck guys. Russia is a thug state. Whilst gay people are a convenient scapegoat to distract the masses from the corruption of their government don’t expect any change.

  4. Saw this in the news , some female activist was being beaten up by some savage Russians , some ape was saying how filth like LGBT degrade Russian soil etc. Disgusting , primitive, vile evil country and people
