  1. Ukraine, ex-soviet-era satellite fiefdom, no surprise then. The ONLY reason they banned Pride is because in line with their bigoted neighbour, they just don’t want it happening. In any democracy or civilised nation, the authorities would at least deploy enough police forces to allow people to march without fear of being attacked. it’s the world upside down : marchers at clear risk of persecution and attack being held responsible for the potential attack of their march.

      You can criticise the politicians but you don’t have to be racist.

      Merely 40 years ago you would be sent to prison for gay sex in the UK, while in Ukraine, even during its Soviet period, you wouldn’t. People living in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
