Because I’m alright Jack and f\/ck everybody else.

  2. Divorce is arguably the greatest ‘dilution’ of conventional marriage: let’s hear what you propose to do about that then, Burrowes.

I suspect his reason to not support the CP amendment is because of Welby’s decision to support the hierarchy in opposing them for hetero couples. Burrowes is an Anglican addict and their principle ally on the back benches. Though I loathe Welby and the hierarchy, his decision to reject the amendment will give some of those old school Anglican bigots in the Lords pause for thought to not use the failed CP amendment as a tool to reject the bill.

  3. I oppose idiots, but they seem to be all over the house of commons !

  4. The debate on this amendment is going to be complicated, isn’t it? There are groups of strong supporters and opponents among both pro- and anti-marriage equality people.

The only ones undermining marriage, Burrowes, are your colleagues on the back benches of the Nadine Dorries, Sir Roger Gale and Bob Blackman ilk, among others who are probably too numerous to mention if all of the dirt came out on them.

This will not be music to Loughton’s ears.

    I don’t care what he thinks, he’s a nutter.

  7. David Burrows marriage must already be quite weak if he fears allowing same sex couples to marry will dilute it even further.

There won’t be enough marriage to go round if it’s opened up to same sex couples which is ridiculous nonsense of course.

  8. “Marriage Equality threatens traditional marriage in the same way that abolishing slavery made freedom less enjoyable for white people.”

    Michael Schiller

  9. What an unpleasant man!

  10. Every time any sees or hears anything from, by or related to David Burrowes, a puppy dies a painful death.

It’s time for Britain to put this guy on ignore.

When I see his face my fists start to itch: Why is that?
