  1. The show is set in LA where they wouldn’t be able to get married because of prop 8. I’m sure they’ll get married after prop 8 is scrapped (hopefully next month)

  2. Robert in S. Kensington 16 May 2013, 6:05pm

Perhaps, they should include an episode where they have to go to the nearest state where they can marry in Washington State prior to the Supreme Court hearing to emphasise the importance of getting Prop. 8 overturned.

    1. The current season has already been aired or will be over before the prop 8 ruling so hopefully your idea will be unnecessary.

    2. I think it’s important that they get married in California surrounded by their family. No more of this running off to other jurisdictions, other countries, other states, to get married. The fight against Prop 8 has defined the LGBT civil rights movement in the last few years and it will be very meaningful when Cam and Mitch get married in their home state. I think I’m going to have a good cry when that happens.

  3. I think the ACLU should be commended for defending the rights of American citizens, particularly minority groups. However, I have to admit I don’t feel comfortable with this effort to determine what is shown on TV. I am not sure why nor can I quite explain it but it is not what I imagined to be the role of the ACLU (hey I am not American so I could be wrong).

  4. I’d like to see a show of Modern Family where the gay couple actually, you know, kiss or something.
