  1. This campaign has had a great start – the demand for the home testing kit was so huge in the first few days that THT found it difficult to keep up with demand – much of the interest in the home testing kit came via Twitter.

The video clip I believe is very good & explains the importance now being attached to testing & treatment as a method of prevention along with condom use.

The micro-website is pretty basic, but I guess it does the job. I would have liked to have seen large media bus adverts that were in use for National Testing Week – I guess cost was the limiting factor here.

Good to know that PN is linking up with THT to promote this campaign.

Polarity63, the key as far as I’m aware is reaching a targeted demographic. The campaign that we’re working on with THT is aimed specifically at men who have sex with men (MSM). THT has other campaigns aimed at different groups of at risk individuals.

It has taken over a decade for THT to ‘get’ this basic level of marketing and publicity provision? Whilst I laud anything the promotes well-being, THT is unfortunately bound by a strategy that competes unfairly with tax-payer funded public services. Additionally, none of THT’s services deals with the elephant-in-the-room, self destructive behaviours in specific groups. Treating the symptoms but not the root causes demonstrates a misunderstanding of our long term needs. THT behaves like a corporate entity with this regards. Pity.

We need some terrifying “don’t die of ignorance” campaigns like in the 80s when HIV and AIDS rates stayed low.

They are rising fast now because the campaigns are too bland and PC. Frighten the living daylights out of people and they will make sure they stick on a piece of latex.

Get back to some icebergs and stonemasons and save peoples’ lives THT
