  1. The standard of education at that ‘university’ must be sky-high

“Communism”? Is the silly cow stuck in 1953 or something? Has she heard that Stalin is dead yet, never mind the collapse of the Warsaw Pact and Soviet Union? Can she manage to get to the toilet without here carer? Why am I angry and a senile old bag with a belief in a god?
    More tea is needed!!

    1. Liam the God 10 May 2013, 4:07pm

“AT a senile old bag”, not “and a senile old bag”. EDIT FUNCTION, FFS!!

    2. Judy Reisman’s parents were Jewish Communist’s. Considering the stigma that being both Jewish and Communist must have carried in the 1950’s &1960’s in the US, Reisman seems to be trying to put as much space as possible between herself and what her own parents stood for.

  3. She needs to be told that statistically speaking, gay men are LESS likely to be the sexual predators.

For that she needs only look at her religious cohorts.

    Senile old bat!

  4. And these boy scouts are not ‘up for grabs’ now?

Clearly she thinks that the only people who abuse children are out gay men, and the only children they abuse are out gay children.

Next thing she’s be saying is it’s only non-believers who do it.

Has she been away these last twenty years?

    1. Liam the God 10 May 2013, 4:25pm

She was born in 1935. She stopped emotional and intellectual development at the beginning of the Korean war, by the sound of things.

  5. It’s always nice when someone like this loon says something so entirely off the scale that they instantly and completely trash their own message and any fragment of professional reputation they might have ever had.

    1. She lost that for any intelligent people the minute they read she was a Professor at Liberty University, founded by Jerry “Flabwell”!

  6. Liam the God 10 May 2013, 4:27pm

Erm, reading her Wikipedia entry makes me think she’d COMPLETELY unhinged!
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Reisman

    1. Brilliant!
Those erototoxins sound interesting, if they existed I think I’d order me some.

      1. Liam the God 11 May 2013, 1:19am

Sod that: I’d produce and bottle the stuff!! I’d make a fvcking FORTUNE!

  7. Jason Feather 10 May 2013, 4:44pm

Professor? Really! How is that possible? No one this stupid could be a professor lol Anyway why would the Boy Scouts be any different from the gay men & women who teach our kids?

    1. It’s Liberty University. The law school there instructs students to break the law if it conflicts with the Bible. If figures they’d give Judith Reisman a job — she’s otherwise unemployable.

      ‘Nuff said?

It’s the siege mentality still very prevalent in American society similar to the birther nonsense regarding President Obama’s place of birth. Of course, right wing religious addiction is at the core of it. These people are intrinsically disordered, mentally ill and a danger to society. Socialism and communism in the American psyche are synonymous and have become dirty words to instill fear where there isn’t any.

  9. This merely underlines the fact that religion rots the mind.

  10. The ONLY thing she is ‘professing’ is her own dumb stupidity!!!!

  11. The funniest thing is how these people bring up socialism or communism as the great “boogeyman”. They appear to know so little about their own country and its politics that they don’t realize they are already living in a society that relies heavily on socialist ideas and policies.

And how one goes from homosexuality to communism is… oy, thankfully, these people are mostly of a certain age and will shortly be departing this mortal coil.

  12. Would anybody ever allow heterosexual men into the Girl Scouts, supervising young girls and taking them on onernight camp-outs and hikes? I don’t think so.

    How is this any different?

    1. Why the thumbs-down?!

      1. I suspect because people felt that you were proposing a grotesque and uninformed argument. It is just possible you were making an ironic point, but it really isn’t clear, which is why my thumb is still in neutral :P

There is absolutely no problem in men helping out in the Girl Scouts and there are male troop leaders. From the girlscouts.org site regarding getting involved you could be a girl, a student or …

“… an adult—female or male—looking to make a difference in a girl’s life, there’s something for you in Girl Scouts”

Making assumptions and stereotyping is exactly the problem: while everyone is chasing their own particular vision of the boogeyman, the real monsters are free to act.

The Girl Scouts seem to have a vastly more sensible and tolerant approach to such matters, but then as far as I know the Mormon church don’t hold their purse strings, so that could be a teensy factor.

    2. People don’t get irony on here unless you put up a big sign next to your comment – it’s happened to me many times – I’ve learned.

      Humour goes the same way.

      Sad but true

  13. Another crackpot with dubious academic credentials, teaching at a morally bankrupt “christian” university. The mythology surrounding gay sexual predators dies hard, even in the face of overwhelming statistics showing that heterosexual men commit the largest percentage (70%) of child molestations:
    http://www.childmolestationprevention.org/pdfs/study.pdf

  14. It’s quite disturbing that people actually follow and believe in what these nutheads say. These people are not just homophobes (I can tolerate that to a degree), but they are actually seriously dislusional

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 10 May 2013, 7:53pm

Some of them sit on the back benches of Parliament and in the Lords. Barness Cathain is a prime example. Lord Carey, Tebbit et al.

  15. Oooh, Communism.
I’m guessing that she must know what she is talking about, since she certainly looks old enough to have attended Lenin’s public speeches.

    1. It appear that both her parents were Commies.

  16. Christopher Coleman 10 May 2013, 7:59pm

Surely, religious believers who do not or cannot question their leaders’ teachings or their sect’s articles of faith are also “slave populations”. Obviously she is in favour of only her own addictions.

Her reasoning appears unsound to you and you wonder how she has a post as a university professor. In the USA almost anyone can become a “preacher”: it just takes the right amount of business acumen, shamelessness, and the ability to prey on the religious beliefs of the unquestioning. If you have money you can open a university. Then you can hire anyone you choose to teach anything you choose, while waving the national flag and making liberal use of words like “god’, “freedom”, “democracy” and “traditional values”. It’s the modern miracle — the Christian university. In this environment the search for truth is always trumped by the revealed truth held by Top Preacher.

  17. I fear for the state of humanity, in particular human intelligence

  18. Helge Vladimir Tiller 10 May 2013, 9:58pm

I thought McCarthyism was dead in the US? But it is very obvious that this “cancer” still has a strong impact on society ! When will this fascism end ? To “hell” with these orthodox christians.

  19. Reisman was deeply traumatised upon discovering that a 13yr old boy had been having sex with her 10yr old daughter, but even worse for Reisman was the fact that some friends and relatives thought her 10yr old daughter may have been looking for sex.

“I called my dependable, staid aunt who listened sympathetically and declared, “Well Judy, she may have been looking for this herself. Children are sexual from birth.” Stunned, I replied that my child was not seeking sex, and called my Berkeley school chum, Carole, who counseled, “Well Judy, she may have been looking for this herself. You know children are sexual from birth.””

Reisman spends the rest of her life looking for others to place blame upon for juvenile sexuality, possibly not a good starting point for unbiased, scholarly scientific investigation.

Hmmm, I seem to detect a common theme with all these anti-gay religious people: They all seem to be very submissive, talking about how they “serve their Lord” and all that, but they like to boss people around.

One might be led to conclude that they are all terrible subs who try to top from the bottom. Their Master should give it to them good for doing that.

  21. Mommie Dammit 11 May 2013, 12:48am

Yep! And the world is flat, the center of the Universe, only 6,000 years old and Jesus had a pet Velociraptor!
    NEXT LUNATIC, PLEASE!

  22. Communists? WTF?

So no gay men have conservative values? Try saying that too Stuart Andrews, Alan Duncan, Nigel Evans, Guy Black, Matthew Sephton….. This list goes on. Dear me she’s as batty as a fruit cake!!!!

    1. Liam the God 11 May 2013, 2:31pm

That’s quite a mixture of metaphors there ;)

  23. Why do so many amongst the political right seemingly have this bizarre idea stuck in their heads that being gay somehow makes one irresistible to communists? For example, hands up anyone on here who has, as of yet, been propositioned by anyone from the North Korean People’s Liberation Army?

  24. Kelvin Beer-Jones 11 May 2013, 9:05am

As a Christian I am now thoroughly satisfied that most churches walked away from Christ ages ago. It is right that secular society works to reduce their influence to zero. Jesus remains today where he always was, with the old, the sick, the downtrodden.

  25. Christopher in Canada 11 May 2013, 2:02pm

… and here is Current American Political Philosophy in a nutshell.

    Too bad they have nukes…

  26. Reisman used to be a staple “social scientist” for the New Zealand Christian Right’s Society for Promotion of Community Standards whenever they tried to turn back the clock over liberal New Zealand censorship policy in the eighties and nineties. Happily, our censorship bodies had mainstream social scientists at their disposal and Reisman’s ‘credibility’ was utterly skewered.

  27. silly old muffin. Go home and stop talking nonsence
