  1. Despicable, I hope that there was CCTV on the train and that the men are caught.

  2. My heart goes out to ye girls. Stay strong.

Recently we heard about ‘Train Man’ making homophobic abuse to a gay couple on the same line and now this. It seems that the line between Preston and Blackpool North is attracting some undesirable passengers.
Anybody encountering problems can contact Preston Police on 01772 614444 and I am sure that they will get the British Transport Police to arrange a reception committee for any homophobic troublemakers at either Blackpool or Preston.

  4. Public transport should be avoided at all costs.

Surely the headline should have been “Woman knocked to floor in Homophobic Incident” rather than “sprayed with lemonade”? Most worrying is that living here in Lancashire I have heard nothing about this until now. Where are the media? After the last incident on the same line it looks as though real efforts should be being made to tackle this – after all would you want to travel on this train?

I live in Lancashire as well and I wonder if the Lancashire Evening Post will be giving it a mention.

  6. There’s a one word term that describes those men, if you can call them that, and it is a stretch, and that is cowards.
