    Well done Karen
“No one chose to be gay. We are what God made us. We’re not seeking to redefine marriage, but to expand it, just as Loving verses Virginia did.” – THIS IS SO TRUE!
I wonder..What do those who oppose it do at the moment given this news.:) Eating an apple, or drinking tea…some scones maybe with clotted cream.. WELL DONE DELAWARE. Next – Minnesota.

    1. The scaremongering anti-equality opposition should now be either cancelling their own wedding plans or heading to the divorce courts if there was ever any truth in the scare stories they were putting out there about same sex marriage destroying the institution of marriage

Oh, wait a minute they were doing that before same sex marriage was introduced weren’t they?

      1. Robert in S. Kensington 8 May 2013, 12:17pm

Correct, Pavlos. Hetero adultery and divorce are as old as civilisation. The current trend in failing hetero marriages in the western world has been occurring for more than 30 years, long before the Netherlands became the first to introduce equal marriage twelve years ago. It is a red herring and as usual, they use us as the scapegoats for their inadequacies, insecurities and sexual frustration within their broken marriages that they themselves created without any help from us.

  2. “If my happiness somehow demeans or diminishes your marriage, you need to work on your marriage”

”We don’t need to be fixed. We’re not broken”

Truer, wiser and more sincere words difficultly will be said. Congratulations Karen Peterson for you and your wife.

  3. Expansion of marriage is exactly what marriage equality is all about as opposed to the present restriction of marriage and inequality.

I’d like to see more referencing of “the expansion of marriage” throughout the pro marriage equality campaign to counter the oppositions bogus redefinition claims.

  4. I love her comment “If my happiness somehow demeans or diminishes your marriage, you need to work on your marriage,” Never a truer word spoken!

    Well done Senator Karen Peterson
