  1. This is really worrying – why is this happening?

As expected this was garnered no replies, had this been about someone’s oppostion to equal marriage or about Uganda, PN readers would be all over this.

  2. I agree Bob! As a black gay man, I have lost friends when sticking up for a white trans woman in my local community. And these are people that I have known for 20 years. The abuse that I have been given is crazy and the police don’t care.

As a trans woman, I feel totally shocked just reading about these incidents! Why do so many sisters have to die? This is one hell of an unjust world! :(

Three white girls were kidnapped and held captive for 10 years in Cleveland (horrible and devastating for the victims I acknowledge) – and it is constantly on our news screens for the last few days.
Three trans women brutally murdered and – nothing. Very few reports, very few comments on here about the horror of that. We really are the silent (and silenced) T in LGBT.

Let’s not forget about Atlanta, Georgia. In the mid to late 90′s several murders took place involving transgender girls. One was a good friend of mine, Rhonda Starr. Two others were murdered and one of the two may have known the murderer/s and may have been the target because she knew. I still have the paper clipping and info on other girls who lost their lives in the city and the murders remain unsolved.
