That’s because your name isn’t Rupert Crybaby Everett.

  2. How is that possible since being an out gay actor playing straight rolls is “unique” to Russell Tovey?

  3. He’s been on Jonathan Ross show tonight. Seems like a really nice guy; an excellent role model, even.

    1. Is the Show titled The Jonathan Ross Show? I can not find that on my TiVo. So either it has a different name or is not shown in the US.

He’s brilliant as Spock, they couldn’t have picked anyone better to play young Spock in the new films.

    1. I couldn’t agree more; he’s perfect for the role.

  5. It’s simple why he’s successful – he’s a actor who just happens to be gay and has never tried to pretend that he was anything else. People, both gay/str8, can respect that and judge his work on its merit, not on his personal life.

  6. a true non-fiction hero

  7. “…Angels in America, which is set in New York City during the AIDS epidemic.”

Um when did the epidemic stop? I know that this is nick picking but it didn’t stop and to implication about AIDS today is that it’s not a problem. It still is an epidemic and it hasn’t stopped it’s just been successfully swept under a rug.

    Please remember that.

    1. “nit picking” – picking at small items like nits.

“Epidemic” has a technical meaning relating to the rate of a new infection or condition in a community. HIV and AIDS continues as a serious chronic disease in the USA and many other “developed” country, and a major health threat in some other countries like parts of Africa.

“Angels in America” is set during the onset of the HIV and AIDS epidemic. Am I nitpicking too? ;-)

It was an epidemic in America. It isn’t any longer.
Is that pedantic enough for you?

    A great rôle model.
Just a shame more prominent actors didn’t do the same. We might start to see some semblance of normalcy.

Much that many gay people like to make a point of it, I look forward to the day when somebody says “I’m gay” and the reply is “yeah, and?” as if they had just pointed out they were left-handed.

  9. He has an unusual mouth, is it always like that?
Or has PN chosen a weird photograph of Zachary?
