  1. You wouldn’t want the “disastrous” effects of homosexuality in such an advanced and progressive society would you?

    1. Maximus G 4 May 2013, 8:39pm

Say what you like about Ethiopia, but be aware that this organisation, “United for Life” is based IN THE UK. These are British Christians spreading what can only be described – without hyperbole – as neo-Nazi propaganda; asking for a state to engage in the sort of behaviour even the Nazis would not openly admit to. The content of their “advice” mirrors the most tawdry, absurd and strident aspects of Nazi anti-Jewish propaganda exactly. The number of these groups, many of whom can be found on the website of this organisation, in the UK is alarming. They may be too afraid to voice their mad and bloodthirsty opinions in the UK, but it seems the Christians are more than happy to go out of their way to export tyranny and death to the rest of the world. Truly, religion is madness. No sane person could be so spiteful.

      1. No surprise at all, they will exploit poverty and ignorance at every opportunity.

  2. The fact that a group called United For Life is campaigning for executions would be funny if it wasn’t so damn dangerous.

Economic mismanagement and corruption? Endemic and totalitarian political oppression? Or the gays? Nice to see they’ve got their Christian priorities in order as usual.

I also like the thought that we can “export” homosexuality. Maybe there’s a big contribution to be made to our GDP if we find the right import markets.

Another country to cross off my Christmas card list.

  4. Robert in S. Kensington 3 May 2013, 6:24pm

One country nobody can blame the UK for exporting homophobia since it wasn’t one of our former colonies.

    1. According to the Huffington Post, United For Life Ethiopia, an Evangelical Christian organisation which receives funding from the UK and the US, expressed hopes that homosexuality would soon be made punishable by the death penalty.

True Ethiopia wasn’t a former colony, but please re-read the paragraph from the article carefully.

    2. Maximus G 4 May 2013, 8:40pm

Well no, apart from the small detail that the groups behind this move are British. Who needs a colonial legacy of exporting homophobia, when modern day British Christians are still at it?

  5. If I was retarded, I would be waiting for the Christian Institute to post a piece about this.

  6. I used to give this country money. Why did Bono and Bob Geldolf never tell me homosexuality was illegal there. And now they want to kill people like me.

    1. Homosexuality is illegal or treated with hostility in the majority of desperately poor countries.

      1. Yes, these are the countries the homo hysterics want us to emulate:-)

  7. Robert beat me to it, but unlike the rest of sub-Saharan Africa it’s also not a country that people can blame Europe for converting to the homophobic Christian cult either. Ethiopia has had Christians in it since the 1st century AD and became officially Christian in 330 AD, meaning it was one of the first countries in the world to become officially Christian. In Britain the Anglo Saxons who were practising Germanic paganism when they arrived in the 5th century, were not fully converted until the 7th century, some 300 years after Ethiopia. Christianity, a religion that ruins every country it touches.

  8. Yup, it’s time to pull all foreign aid to Ethopia. It’s clear their government and their culture are not worth supporting. Why should LGBT tax dollars be used to support people who wish to kill us? Basically, it would be like giving subsidies to Nazis.

    1. MattISaTOOL 15 May 2013, 11:17am

I disagree. Because if we use your logic we should pull aid from ALL countries.. The poorest nations on earth are extremely anti gay.. But the culture was raised up to believe it. To stop aid, would mean thousands of children will die from diseases and starvation… Two wrongs NEVER make a right.. I think its really disgusting (and considering how many likes) shows how low people are.. Yes i don’t agree with it obviously, but i don’t wont people to suffer more then they are.

      1. MattISaTOOL 15 May 2013, 11:23am

Also Women rights and child slavery is just as bad in those countries too..

  9. That There Other David 3 May 2013, 7:15pm

This smells familiar. Somebody check Scott Lively’s passport to see his recent whereabouts.

  10. There is no way I want my taxes going to foreign aid to save fascist homophobic filth that want me dead. I used to give money to Oxfam in the past in organised charity funding , but when you see where some of that money ends up supporting, it was time to pull out like many others, maybe that’s one reason why Oxfam have seen decrease in donations.

  11. Hey Guys calm down,

Save your outrages. This is not going to happen. I am an Ethiopian gay person. Compared to other African countries, the lightest punishment you receive for being gay is in Ethiopia. The law in the books says three months to three years of jail, if you are caught in the act. No one ever finished the jail term. (They actually don’t send you to jail. They instead send you to one of those “degayfication” camps. :-) Because of it’s Christian tradition death penalty is very rare in Ethiopia. The last state sanctioned death sentence was implemented 12 years ago. The religious nuts from Europe and America targeting the country, because it supposedly has the punishment is “light” for being gay. The problem that we have here is just a general attitude of the public against LGBT and attack on LGBT individuals. That is the real problem. Not a legislation. That’s what we should be outraged about.

    1. Staircase2 4 May 2013, 3:03am

      Legislation LITERALLY ‘legitimises’ homophobia..,
THAT’S why what happens on the statute books IS so fundamentally important to LGBT Rights…

The deep harm that the ‘degay’ agenda brings to individuals is well documented

Rather than telling people to ‘save their outrages’ perhaps you could be looking at what the actual problem is…

  12. Staircase2 4 May 2013, 2:58am

    The bloody idiots…
    …ignorant AND ungodly…

  13. Barry William Teske 4 May 2013, 6:18am

And the “Top 100 ‘God’s Terrorists’ of the last 100 Years” are…
Submit your candidates and hope God cleans up its ‘flock’ soon.
My 2nd choice is anyone who owns a gun in the name of ‘self defence’.
My 1st choice is the US of A’s NRA.
    Crime stats are up.
    Hate and intolerance are crimes.

  14. I can’t comprehend why all these hate groups doesn’t get more attention in international media beside gay news sites . If Nazi groups were occurring all around the world like this, we would have marches in protest! Have we learned nothing by our history? These groups need to be wiped out.

  15. Learn morals, not sin 4 May 2013, 10:10am

So clled developed countries are that way in spite of and not because of homodeviance. Geology and climate play a large part.
Homosexuality has no benefit whatsoever to society, in fact, gay males are the most hedonistic plague spreaders in humanity. They are 50 times more likely than hetero-normal males to have the AIDS plague!

    1. So clled developed countries are that way in spite of and not because of homodeviance. Geology and climate play a large part.

Their religion and “traditional values” seems to have difficulty in coping with these factors?. Perhaps it’s just coincidental that the most homophobic and poorly educated, poverty stricken countries are steeped in religion? By education I mean education not learning how to recite the Koran or Bible.

    2. you despicable vile retard – high risk has wiped out millions of hetero sexuals who started the whole pandemic by eating monkey meat – and people who have multipule partners (mostly Black African Hetero Men) are still the greates percentage of HIV positve humans –

People like you scum are the greatest living argument for mercy killings

      1. Enlightenment 4 sinners & deviants 4 May 2013, 2:33pm

The bitterness of the gay movement is apparent in this post where one homo-deviant would deny food to starving children on the grounds that he does not agree with the rules of that sovereign state.

    3. That There Other David 4 May 2013, 11:14am

If you’d ever been to Sub-Saharan Africa that fallacy would be all too apparent. Unsafe promiscuous sexual conduct spreads HIV, not the orientation of the person doing it.

BTW, there’s no such thing as “sin”. That’s an idea based on the notion that a omnipresent deity is watching you. Think about it seriously and that idea is so ridiculous only children should believe it. One day you will die, 50 years later no one will ever remember you existed. Accept that and get on with your life and you’ll find you’re much less hung up on how others live theirs.

    4. Even though being gay isnt a sin, go ahead and speak!

  16. a i hope with all my heart that famine wipes out this pathetic excuse for a cuntry!

See we all be vile – where does it get us ???

  17. Har Davids 4 May 2013, 11:50am

It reminds me of the so-called ‘Jewish question’; all of a sudden a well-established group is discovered to be a problem to society. Eliminating this group will solve all problems.

Publicly name and shame the Western hypocrites who back this ‘legislation’, for fomenting hatred overseas, as they’re too cowardly to do the same stuff in their own countries. And, of course, cut all aid to Ethiopia if necessary.

  18. “held a conference to discuss the “disastrous” effects of homosexuality in the country.”

They can’t even feed their own people, our gay celebrities had to release a pop song to do that for them.

  19. Jock S. Trap 4 May 2013, 12:27pm

And there was me thinking they actually needed help in aid from civilised countries like ours.

Oh well, who knew… they clearly don’t!

    1. Think its time to demand our governments denied Ethiopia any access to our aid and development funds. Do you hear me Mr Cameron

  20. To any one in the world … there are no gays who are Ethiopian. You bitches from foreign want to impose your disgusting behavior on Ethiopian boys and want to play with their life. Please go to hell and practice there. Never in my Land – Ethiopia. If not death penalty, imprisonment should be implemented.
BTW why on earth is the Evangelical Christian organisation is named itself Christian? Christianity never teach such a behavior. You are rather one of those who are mentioned in the Bible as the wolf with a sheep fur – decipher.

    1. Ras Mitat 6 May 2013, 1:20pm

You are a moron, and not from Ethiopia.

  21. Read the above comments and infere the statistics please, mr. United For Life Ethiopia. They say leave us alone you morons.

  22. Ras Mitat 6 May 2013, 1:17pm

    Look who’s being ignorant…

A UK & US financed whacko evangelical group nobody heard of in Ethiopia has a meeting, and you all blame the country of 90 Million.

Ethiopian society minds it’s own business, and is too busy dealing with REAL problems.
