  1. Why do these right-wingers talk in terms of what THEY believe, rather than evidence?

I’m sure many people believe that the Catholicism which Ryan espouses is nothing more than the world’s biggest paedophile ring, but it doesn’t mean Catholicism shouldn’t be a lifestyle choice for those who desire to make it (or even expose their children to it).

  2. So he’s okay with gay couples adopting, but he doesn’t want those children’s parents to be able to marry? Logic fail.

  3. It is good that his opinion on gay couples adopting have changed but he is such a contradiction.

Having said that, I doubt he even knows what contradiction means so is unaware that he is doing it!

  4. Oh, PN, please start fact checking your US news:

“a town hall meeting in Wisconsin, for which Ryan is a state Representative,”

Ryan is a US Representative from the state of Wisconsin, he is NOT a “state Representative.”

  5. I don’t get this man. He calls himself a libertarian but refuses to hold liberal societal views. How on earth can people- anyone- vote for someone who doesn’t know the basics of their own philosophy?

American libertarians actually support equal marriage, official party policy, so he is not one of them.

    I am actually pleasantly surprised.

  7. He must have voted in favour of an increase in the number of weathervanes, he’s slowly realising which way the wind’s blowing.

This is interesting. It’s really all about mood and feeling rather than argument. The mood seems to me to be changing in our direction. He just needs to take one more step and put himself in the shoes of the kid with same sexy parents who asks: why is the status of my family not as good as yours? The only answer is: it is! The underpinning of the difference will fall away.

Oops – I meant sex, not sexy!

      1. Well if they are gay, they may well be sexy. X

As sure as night follows day – or queer follows gay. ;-)

  9. Blimey. Homer Ryan. Doh !!

  10. So he believes we should not have the equal rights of our heterosexual counter parts – but he’s happy for us to adopt the unwanted results of hetero irresponsibility – How insulting and how typical!

  11. I think Paul Ryan did brilliantly. He eloquently made excellent points amidst a hostile host, guest and audience.

    1. oops and I was looking at and responding to a different video – Ryan Anderson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrk1R-3X9Hc&feature=youtu.be – far more interesting. Even so, I have no problems with this Ryan’s words.

      1. Ryan Anderson is a moron.

Say hello to the religious sock puppet closet case, another straight for pay bull-shitter.

    2. Paul Ryan is a moron.

Yeah that make perfect sense. Now all the children of LGBTQ people can be bastards and share the legal limbo that their parents are trapped in.
