  1. Yawn.
Yet another self righteous nut job Old Testament ‘Christian’ espousing hateful bile.

  2. Which god ? There are so many.

    1. And none of them is actually real.

      1. Heeyy, gods exist ! Glycon, the human-faced blond-haired snake goddess is real !! GLYCON AKBAR !! GLYCON AKBAR !! The infidels shall be biten and killed by Her Snakeness !!

  3. If God says being gay’s a sin then he deserves to be rebelled against.

I’m sure he is equally vociferous against the sin of accumulating wealth and its manifestation in professional sport.

  4. Hasn’t anyone told this sad man that the bible is just a fairytale. And not as good as Hans Christian Anderson.

  5. One does hope ESPN give him a massive boot up the backside out onto the pavement for publicly expressing such views while representing the channel. One more reason to avoid sport. And religion. Double win for me then.

    1. quite appropriate i’d say. but booted back into shackles as well. this man believes in the strict coinstruction of the bible and the bible did believe in slavery—what’s fair is fair. where do these fools come from?

    2. Liam the God 30 Apr 2013, 10:11pm

Sadly, according to the Washington Post, they’ve come out in support of the Bigot Broussaro.

  6. Because of course the person known as Jesus of Nazareth said so very much about homosexuality.

    Oh, wait …

  7. OMFG! The “G” can go for what ever word, you so choose. Why must they bring God into this. He has nothing to do with ones decision to come out. Bible thumpers beware. There are gay Christians about and we don’t throw the book in your faces, when you sin, therefore, keep your little black book close to your heart, for if and I do mean IF you’ve sinned, there ain’t no prayer in the bible to save your sorry asses. Judge ye not unless ye wishes to be judged! You will have to answer to 1 God, the all mighty. Think about that before you start preaching his word. Argh, for once it would be nice to read an editorial, where GOD is not brought up nor mentioned. Like that will ever happen.

Everyone can be a preacher in the USA. Attendance at seminary and the usual years of education are not necessary. Most of the Bible is about living a Jewish life. Being a Christian is being a follower of what Christ is reported to have said, and that is something the average self-proclaimed Christian does NOT do and is probably averse to doing. And, of course, this has nothing to do with sport, as indeed the commentator’s views didn’t either.

Nothing like a bit of preaching on a SPORTS CHANNEL! He needs to fvck off to some of the stupid God channels they seem to have in such abundance in the USA!! Does he also go with “Slavery is OK” and “Black People Are Inferior”? Or is he just Cherry-Picking scripture like the rest of them?

  11. Dave North 30 Apr 2013, 4:21pm

    I’m loving it.

These “christians” really aren’t doing themselves any favours.

  12. If all those things mean that your not a Christian, it must mean there are virtually none left.

  13. Chris Broussard take the Bible and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine!

    Twat!

    1. And his twitter is @Chris_Broussard

  14. NO you Backward fool – You are a human abomination – passing off your own bigotry and ignorant hatred of something that you don’t like – as a rebellion to an NON EXISTENT Deity.

Jason Collins is more of man than you and your Neanderthal kind will ever be!

  15. Mark Greenway 30 Apr 2013, 4:39pm

It’s not an “Open Rebellion Against God”!
It’s an open rebellion against all those who think they represent God and hate and discriminate in his name. God and Jesus said nothing about it. Jesus just said love and forgive no matter what. We’re dealing with personal opinion! May God strike me dead if I’m wrong!!! >;)

  16. This man has sinned… I believe he was wearing mixed fabrics..

You know because the bible is the only thing to follow ;)

    1. I even bet the infidel works on Sabbaths. Sinner !! Burn him !!

  17. So being up front and honest instead of living in a lie is rebellion against God? What a turd.

  18. I always thought Incitement To Hatred … towards ANY of ‘god’s children’ … was a sin. Doesn’t it say something in that old novel about ‘loving thy neighbour’? So why are these religious people so defiant of god’s will when it suite their own bigotry?

  19. Hes right the bible would characterize him as a Eunuch that’s how Jesus Character

  20. Biblically based condemnation of homosexuality from a Sports presenter?

Whatever next? a special edition of Match Of The Day dealing with the doctrine of transubstantiation?

  21. That There Other David 30 Apr 2013, 9:42pm

    Annnnddd….out come the Crazies!!!

    :-)

    1. I can even hear the circus music in the background as Fred Phelps, Linda Harvey, Bryan Fischer and now Chris Broussard enter the circus ring to tell their usual jokes.

  22. Christopher in Canada 30 Apr 2013, 10:22pm

Half-caste… is what Christians would have called him not very long ago, and he would not be seen as fully human.

  23. Which God ? Ishtar ? Ra ? Or Zeus ? Ahh, I bet it’s Zeus, right ?

Or maybe it’s the primordial Greek god Uranus, apparently the favorite god of the bigots and homophobes.

  24. friday jones 30 Apr 2013, 11:03pm

And I’m supposed to listen to the religious speech of a man with the Mark of Cain RIGHT THERE ON HIS FACE?!? :D

  25. Which god ? Ishtar ? Ra ? Or Zeus ? It’s Zeus, right ? Oooh, I bet it’s Zeus !

Or maybe it’s the primordial Greek god Uranus, apparently the favorite god of the bigots and homophobes.

The “know them by the fruits” a reference to the sermon on the mount, which was essentially Jesus telling people how to spot haters posing as teachers of morality – i.e. if they teach bad things, bad things happen.

So in the very specific original context, whose teachings are spreading hatred here, eh?

    Irony much?

But then I’m an ignorant non believer, what do I know …

  27. fredlynow 1 May 2013, 1:11am

Whose teaching of God? The traditional Jewish god? Your god? My god? Can the freedom of religious beliefs really take effect now? Not just YOUR belief, but mine and anybody else’s. Or should i just say it as loud as you can and as long as you are capable, that your belief of God is totally narrow and wrong? Not too late to change it, Bro.

  28. Lyuba Allenivna Marchenko 1 May 2013, 5:55am

You live your pathetic life with your outdated beliefs. Let the rest of us live in the 21st century.

Not everyone is Christian; not everyone believes in the bible.

Me being an Asatruar has no affect on you; why do these mudak Christians think everyone ought to live as they do and believe in their religion?

  29. Lyuba Allenivna Marchenko 1 May 2013, 6:14am

More dumb than a sack of fecking rocks.

  30. Chris Broussard’s views are well known to his bosses at ESPN and he has expressed them before.

ESPN knew exactly what they were getting when they asked Mr Broussard to appear with LZ Granderson (who is gay) to comment on this story.

It has been suggested that ESPN allowed this piece with the express intention of creating controversy, perhaps to snatch the limelight away from Sports Illustrated, the publishing franchise which broke the story of Jason Collins’ sexuality. See http://bit.ly/10PLbE7
