Hallelujah! The Good Lord was guiding his hand – hahahahaha!!!!!

    1. GingerlyColors 26 Apr 2013, 11:11am

The Hand of God perhaps? I wonder if that happened when Argentina legalised gay marriage?!

  2. Chris Ward 25 Apr 2013, 3:24pm

Apparently the tendency to be a bigot correlates positively with being unable to handle a total number of three buttons labelled “oui”, “non” and “s’abstenir”.

  3. That There Other David 25 Apr 2013, 3:45pm

Considering his views a better play on his surname would be “guano”.

  4. Christopher in Canada 25 Apr 2013, 3:46pm

    Freud laughed!

    1. Michael2912 25 Apr 2013, 3:49pm

      Are you really in Canada

  5. Michael2912 25 Apr 2013, 3:48pm

A clear case of divine intervention. The Good Lord moves in mysterious ways. Prove me wrong!

    1. Christopher Coleman 25 Apr 2013, 7:16pm

Religious leaders with a hot line to God have been at great pains to assure us that He only takes the anti-gay side. Are you actually suggesting that such exalted people might be wrong? If so, you could annoy God’s self-proclaimed intimate friends. That’s more than I would dare.

      1. Michael2912 25 Apr 2013, 9:00pm

You’re right. I’ll watch out for the thunderbolts.

  6. Perhaps he was in a confused lather thinking about sexual activities?

  7. Well, one vote wouldn’t have made any difference to the outcome. Now watch to see how many others claim to have pushed the wrong button.

    1. Or how the bigots will try to claim that EVERYONE pushed the wrong button mistakenly to prove their theory that the French people were majoritarily against equal marriage.

  8. Robert in S. Kensington 25 Apr 2013, 4:35pm

And this idiot is elected to public office and doesn’t know the mechanics of pressing the correct button? Heaven help us for what of a better exhortation!

I wonder why we don’t have an electronic system in the Commons and live public viewing when a vote is about to take place?

    1. Because then everytime the conservatives would vote it would turn into a Monty Python’s Flying Circus sketch. :-D

“Heeeey, I didn’t mean to vote for equal marriiiiiiage !!”
      [giant foot steps on him]

    Errare humanum est.
I feel very grand gratitude for M. Guaino, who was very active and sensible in the recent months by defense of family with parents of different sex and children rights. (Maybe, because he itself was born outside marriage and know very much indeed, what means an little boy to have no father in the childhood.)
And: only true laughter is this at the very end. Who know, who will rejoice, and who will not, in one month time, after final decision of Le Conseil Constitutionnel ?

    1. Go back to sleep little one.Your bigoted views are not wanted, nor needed here in the civilized world.

    2. Robert in S. Kensington 25 Apr 2013, 8:03pm

Malheureusement, M. Bongibault, vous ne serez pas se réjouir d’un mois à partir de maintenant, mais nous le ferons.

Unfortunately, Mr. Bongibault, you will not be rejoicing a month from now, but we will.

      1. Yes!!!!! and we have big hope to not wait 1 month, maybe the CC will the answer in a short time….
Bongibault it’s over, and i repeat again, tu es une honte pour les gay, les français et la France entière toi et ta frigide…

    3. de Villiers 26 Apr 2013, 7:50am

Le conseil constitutionnel ne fera rien.

  10. Leave it to a Frenchman to pull a boner like this!

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 25 Apr 2013, 8:06pm

Perhaps he had a boner for his secret boyfriend on the side. Ooops, now his wife will find out.

    2. He is probably a relative of the French waiter from the Simpsons episode “The Boy Who Knew Too Much”.

Waiter: This is an outrage! I am not a clumsy Clouseau-esque waiter. I will — [trips on chair, falls out window into truck containing rat traps]

[and somewhere in this mess presses the wrong button]

  11. George Bush 2.0?

    1. I would say a cross between George Bush and SNL’s MacGruber.

  12. Shame he was later allowed to correct his vote. Would have been a brilliant ridicule to throw at the bigot he is, anytime he condemns homosexuals, the response would be ‘well you did vote in favor of equal rights’.

  13. He may not have been alone. It’s been reported that 4 members may have miscast yes instead of no. Too many flashing lights!

Oui ou non, c’est trop simple, n’est ce pas? Vive les imbeciles!

  14. I understand the poor guy. It’s difficult to see and distinguish a button written “oui” from another written “non” when you are so deep inside the closet that you are almost making your way to Narnia.

  15. Justusboyz 26 Apr 2013, 6:40am

Too much red wine I think ??

  16. GingerlyColors 26 Apr 2013, 11:13am

  17. Even fools make mistakes!
    no surprise there!

  18. He “corrected his vote”… Such a slap on God’s face! After all His kindness in allowing him to be written and remembered on the right side of history in spite of his bigotry! Now he’ll not only pass on not only as a bigot but also as an absolute imbecile who was unable to press the button he meant when there were only 3 options and he had been staring at them for hours!
