What’s to discuss, the guy is clearly and bigot idiot.

    1. Truth will Out 23 Apr 2013, 9:10am

And a obvious self hating closet case too.

      1. So, heteorsexuals don’t beat each other or get STI’s? These people are getting weirder by the day.

  2. I don’t understand how he’s getting coverage like this — Peter LaBarbera is a joke, and about as effective as sheltering from the rain under a paper towel. No one pays any attention to him here.

    1. Terry Schneider 24 Apr 2013, 1:21pm

Agree. this is why we need to take the comments to the religious groups and media who do support his messages. Take the battle to them education while standing on the side of love.

  3. Sheila Thomas-Dempsey 22 Apr 2013, 6:16pm

so what does this person have to save about all the violence in “other groups” such as black on black violence, husband/wife violence, and for heaven’s sake – the violence of people against people… because no matter what the color of our skin is, the religious group we belong to or our sexual orientation, WE ARE ALL PEOPLE and we need to remember that.

    1. That There Other David 22 Apr 2013, 8:31pm

Well, the other violence is down to The Devil of course….

These arseholes will twist any argument, so no point arguing with them. Much better to point and laugh at them and their insanity.

  4. Given what’s been said in recent months, especially from people who obviously have a hot line to god, this doesn’t surprise me at all.

I am only surprised that LGBT haven’t yet been accused of responsibility for the Boston bombing atrocity.

    1. casperthegood 22 Apr 2013, 6:48pm

      give ’em time

    2. You have apparently missed or ignored the rantings of the Westboro Baptist Loonies. they started spouting off within hours of the bombs exploding. Not that there is any surprise in that. *sigh*

    3. Robert in S. Kensington 22 Apr 2013, 7:11pm

The surviving brother who was captured apparently tweeted anti-gay slurs prior to the attack. Heterosexuals at it again.

  5. Jason Feather 22 Apr 2013, 6:31pm

The last wailing cry of another dinosaur as he fades into obscurity swallowed by the tide of the morally right majority. People like him do us a favour by being so outrageously stupid anyone with a moral bone in their body simply dismiss such idiocy.

  6. Dave North 22 Apr 2013, 6:59pm

Given this goons logic, god must hate humanity. Otherwise there would be no wars or disease

  7. I love how he ignores the violence of spousal abuse, the divorce rate among hetero couples and the facts of STI’s amongst the hetero community. that he conveniently forgets that HIV/AIDS started amongst the heterosexual population in Africa, I find to be perfectly appropriate for the mentality of this overblown jackanapes! Why mess up a good story of “godly retribution of the heathen sinners” with facts?

  8. Robert in S. Kensington 22 Apr 2013, 7:09pm

If we’re so violent, how would he account for the fact that the overwhelming majority of inmates in prisons are heterosexual in every country on the planet? Who started the world’s wars? Who started the war in Iraq? Who bombed the World Trade Center and London Tube? Looking back in history, who started the Inquisition in Spain and the eradication of indigenous tribes in Latin America by the Conquistadores? The list is endless, all attributed to heterosexual males, many of them religious.

  9. Darling please go and get your hair sorted

  10. If somebody chops off his stupid head, will that be a sign his homophobia is wrong?

  11. And AIDS in africa prove that god thinks black babies are wrong

  12. Robert in S. Kensington 22 Apr 2013, 7:48pm

To think this loon is reputed to have the largest collection of gay porn in America sometimes known as Porno Pete, claiming he uses it to show his followers what gay lives and sex are all about. My gaydar goes haywire whenever I see his ugly face.

  13. oh the banter! not wishing to sound uninitiated (shall i say) but exactly what is the truth about homosexuality?! it’s a badly- termed word, is that the truth?! happily, google tells me that their website has been compromised… maybe that’s god’s way of showing his disapproval of these gay-obsessives. it’s a sign, i tell ya!

obviously, an STI is a sign that people are having unsafe sex and anti-gay violence is a sign that there are too many stupid people in america who cannot tolerate others or think for themselves. dumb-da-dumb MFs IMHO.

    1. Liam the God 23 Apr 2013, 12:24pm

STI’s are “Gods” punishment for Gay Sex? Odd: I was tested last week and came back totally clear! Either Pete is wrong/lying, or THERE IS NO GOD! I tend to go for the latter, but the former has a certain appeal.

  14. Brett Gibson 22 Apr 2013, 8:03pm

Facepalm. You know when you stare and exhale at something for like 5 minutes, wondering how on earth a person could come to such uneducated conclusions? -___-

  15. So what he’s basically telling us is that if god doesn’t like you he’ll get you beaten up or engineer a terminal disease just for you.
    He’s also implying that god’s a bigot.
Remind me why does anyone worship this god character again?
Sounds like he’s running some sort of celestial hate group.
Looks like Peter LaBarbara created god in his image.

  16. That man is just plain scary. He should be kept as far away from small children as possible, if y’know what I mean.

    1. Considering the historical of child sexual abuse homophobic fundamentalist Christians like the Roman Catholic Church have it isn’t safe even mentioning you have a child near LaBarbera.

  17. The same thing can be said – and has already been said in the past – about anti-semitic violence, like the pogroms of Czarist Russian, and racist violence against black people like the lynchings in the American Deep South during the time of segregation, which only proves this imaginary Abrahamic god is a evil deity of pure hatred, intolerance, and violence and him and his odious religion have no place in the 21th century world. The world need to get rid of the plague that is religion, especially Abrahamic religions.

  18. Helge Vladimir Tiller 22 Apr 2013, 8:58pm

LaBarbera- if you point at the Gay Community with your forefinger–Three other fingers will automatically point at yourself ! You are judging us like Hitler did-like fascists do in so many countries around the World. Only “devils” in disguise do so.

  19. Violence against the person is a message from your god condemning their actions and life choices?

That is a tricky card to play when your imaginary friend is supposed to have arranged for his own son to be nailed to a piece of wood and left to die.

    1. Next he’ll be saying Santa Claus isnt visiting anymore cos of same sex marriage – ha ha – how come such looneys even get mentioned??

  20. NO! What It really proves that so called religious hypocrites ,especially Christians like this ignorant person, do not follow the tenets of their faith and their Lord’s Great Commandments of : “Love of God and Your Neighbor As Yourself!”

  21. Tom (Winnipeg) 22 Apr 2013, 11:16pm

He joins the unholy ranks of religious freaks inflicted with “non compos mentis”.

  22. Gay bashing is only proof of douchebag existence. As for STIs, well this guy really needs to get out more. Straights get them too.

  23. Rosemary Peppercorn 22 Apr 2013, 11:37pm

You must understand THIS truth: Rush LImbaugh is the idol of U.S. conservative radio hosts. Why? Because Rush says outrageous things, he gets more listeners, and high profits from advertising follow. I know this as fact. So this guy is following Rush’s path — he is whoring himself out for money, nothing more. Don’t pay any attention to him.

  24. Christopher in Canada 23 Apr 2013, 1:18am

Women are clearly chattel, according to this logic, worthy of rape and denial of personage.

  25. yes and domestic violence exists in straight households too .. i guess he must hate women as well. *rollseyes*

  26. douglas in canada 23 Apr 2013, 4:43am

Treating illness and disease as if they were a punishment from the gods is pure stupidity and superstition.

Let’s remind him, too, that every criminal who ever lived was the child of a heterosexual sex act. Therefore, he should propose that to rid the world of crime, straight sex should be banned.

He’s just another poster-child for “The Idiots”

  27. Another stupid nobody…. Great !!

  28. Jock S. Trap 23 Apr 2013, 10:35am

That has to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard.

Talk about promoting violence to sections of society…. And how exactly is that helpful to society.

Such blatant discrimination from yet again the wraths of religions.

  29. This man is a self-loathing closet homosexual. His thinning, falling head of hair is a sign from God that hypocrisy and spreading lies are wrong and against the biblical commandments.

  30. Liam the God 23 Apr 2013, 12:20pm

Those eyes: “LIghts on, nobody home”!!

  31. No Morron, anti-gay violence prove only how stupid human kind is, you idiot.

  32. Steven Leider 23 Apr 2013, 10:46pm

Speaking of perversion and abomination, get a load of that comb over.

But seriously, ad hominem attacks aside, there is a reason that LaBarbera’s organization, Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, is labeled by the widely respected Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group and recently lost its 501(c)3 (charitable) status with the Internal Revenue Service. It’s only reason for existence is to vilify LGBTQ people and spread disinformation and hate speech about these people.

No one really pays attention to anything he, or other bigots like him have to say now-a-days, but posting their outrageous comments, especially on news we sites, always increases site visits and makes the web site where they appear to have greater viewer/reader traffic than they otherwise would.

  33. Terry Schneider 24 Apr 2013, 1:10pm

LaBarbera is a charlatan posing as a Christian as he does not follow the teachings of Jesus of unconditional Love and separation of religion and state. All he is doing is waging war and hate against a group to gain power and money. His group, “American for Truth about Homosexuality” is equivalent to Al-Qaeda and Taliban Jehad as it is raging war against Christian churches who are following the teachings of Jesus and thus support the inherent worth and dignity of every person with justice, equity and compassion in human relationships.

  34. Frank Boulton 25 Apr 2013, 4:22pm

Let’s not worry too much about the rantings of the likes of Peter LaBarbera. I think that his hate-speech is just winning more people over to our side. Reasonable people, whatever their colour, religion or sexual orientation are sick of these hatemongers.

  35. [Yo, PN. Saw this on the net. Reaction?]

USA – from Puritans to Impure-itans

Is there a connection between beautiful New England and entire American cities turned into smoking rubble? There is.
Take same-sex marriage. I would have guessed that a “sin” city (San Francisco? Las Vegas?) would have been the first to legalize it.
Oddly it’s been the place where America started that’s wanted to be the first place to help bring about the end of America and its values! It’s been a Nor’easter of Perversion (helping to fulfill the end time “days of Lot” predicted in Luke 17) that began in (you guessed it) Boston in 2004.
New England has gone from the Mayflower Compact to the Gay Power Impact, from Providence to decadence, from Bible thumpers to God dumpers, from university to diversity to perversity, and from the land of the Great Awakening to God’s Future Shakening that will make the Boston bombings look like Walden Pond ripples by comparison!
    The same Nor’ea
