Backward, just so very backward. I suppose the LGBT community pf Arizona City is expected to be grateful for such a limited piece of legislation.

This is where the Obama presidency should end this discrimination once and for all by stopping this nasty bigoted people putting conditions onto us and treat all the same.

They don’t divide of taxes paid so they certainly shouldn’t for this.

Arizona is typical of the kind of place where you can own a hundred shotguns and nobody bats an eyelid but if two people of the same sex get married it’ll mean the downfall of civilisation.

I also read that Arizona residents can buy a gun and carry it on them concealed, even going into a bar. Only in America could that happen, insanity if you ask me and they wonder why gun violence is so diffuse there. Our society is a lot better than that thankfully.

      1. Indeed Robert, and it’s amazing how the Christian Right goes completely silent whenever there’s a gun massacre but you can’t shut them up over gay marriage.

  3. I should preface this by saying that I’ve never been to America so speak in considerable ignorance, and further I don’t believe in writing off any place or country, we should support good causes in all places, appeal to people’s tolerance and not indulge in stereotypes or vilification. But from a political and societal point of view, all of the stuff I read leads me to believe that Arizona is a notably more unpleasant place to live than that favourite American whipping-state Mississippi. It’s just ream after ream of unpleasant news coming out of there at the moment.
