  1. I have read in other reports that “Promoting homosexuality” does not appear in Zambia’s legal code.

    If so, Mr Kasonkomona is being charged with a crime that does not exist, and the government has flouted the rule of law.

    This illegal move by the government should deeply trouble all Zambians, whatever their views of homosexuality.

    It could be under a different description such as” promoting deviant practices which have no benefit to the wider society whatsoever.”
