  1. Cue the Anti Tatchell ranters!

    1. On the contrary, I have long supported his tireless fight for equality and rights!
But, lets not assume that anyone not agreeing with him on every single point like some kind of kneeling posse of worshippers is “anti-Tatchell”.

I agree that she made a lot of mistakes, but welcome to politics! It’s a sad fact of life that we have no jurisdiction over the internal affairs of other cultures. While I agree that we should be very careful about who we support, sometimes that relationship is necessary.

    2. I’m a serial anti-Tatchell ranter, but his views on Maggie are pretty spot on.

Funny really. I’m pretty supportive of Thatcher, and I still think Tatchell is a leftie twat.

        1. Why funny? That combination is entirely predictable.

        2. Yes well I think you’re a right wing twat. Isn’t diversity wonderful?

  2. Peter Tatchell is Transphobic 11 Apr 2013, 4:41pm

O know not this man again ………

  3. She was a racist pig, not giving a shit how many people of any other races were killed by their rulers. Her only concern was her England, nothing else.

  4. Off topic, but here is another hypocritical homophobe. Worth a read.

  5. Something like Tatchell, talking human rights but supporting abominations!

  6. There is a word that, no a couple of words that encapsulate Thatcher – fascist sociopath.
A lot of the problems that the USA, UK and Europe are having to deal with now were set up by the economic ground rules espoused by Ragan and Thatcher_ there is also not much difference between extreme communism and rightwing dictatorships whether underpinned by catholic or islamic idiology or marxism it is the imposition by force and coertion and a secret police of a delusion for the benefit of an elite which usually does not believe the delusions they enforce on their oppressed population.
Thatcher was a vile woman, and adept at manipulation and deceipt to reward those “who are one of us”.
Too many people (including new labour) have still not unravelled the mysteque and hall of mirrors she created.
One thing she insured was that Scotland (and Wales) will have ever increasing self government and the present Tories by euligising her ( and their present policies) are helping that process along.

Yeah yeah, Peter – keep your publicity on the boil, like we care.

Thatcher might have made many mistakes but she had more balls than you will ever have.

    1. she had more balls than you will ever have.

Tell us how you come to that delightfully original conclusion: is it your contention that anyone you label a “leftie” is a eunuch?

      1. Spanner1960 15 Apr 2013, 12:20pm

Actually, I consider all politicians since her as being eunuchs.
Whatever your politics, you cannot say Maggie was a shrinking violet.
I have yet to see any politician before or since that could take the bull by the horns and face a problem like her.
Can you imagine Cameron, Milliband or Clegg handling the Falklands situation, or the Miners unions?
They would all have shit their pants and conceded.

        1. Bullshit. Just because she was tough it didn’t make her a decent person. The fact that she was friends with such reprehensible people outweighs the good.

Lest we forget that she stood for in terms of gay rights

I grew up in South Africa, I saw the reality, when we were able to change the country we did. santions wa not the right way to go. South Africa was ot defenseless as some of you might have thought. Had South Africa changed back then it would now be another Zimbabwe, South Africa came out of apartheit strong and has been able to make the transition without following Zimbabwe.
Thatcher chose to work with the government of the day to start changes, those changes made it possible for the new free South Africa. Madiba, I respect but only because when he cam out of prison he said to everybody, it is time to rebuild South Africa. I did read the full case file. would you be happy if someone who was planting bombs in London was freed to run his country. dont talk crap that you know nothing about.
Thatcher might have been Prime Minister at the time that all those thigs happened, including secton 28, but she was only Prime Minister not a dictator.
