  1. Oh dear. Another former British Colony, stuck in the Judeo-Christian past. Well, they will find themselves increasingly culturally and politically isolated and regarded as very ‘backward’. Shame.

    1. With 30% of the population being new immigrants from communist China, in a few years the country may be de facto a part of the Chinese Empire, a satellite state. In which case the courts will definitely not dare to contradict any government on constitution issues. The courts have no say on that in China. Whether they do in present day Singapore remains to be seen.

  2. That’s Singapore off my list of places to take a holiday!

    1. Good for you! Please strike it off your list. Go to Thailand or Bali instead.

  3. I’m from Singapore and this shameful judgement to keep Section 377A because there is no need for “heavy-handed judicial intervention ahead of democratic change”.
Singapore’s spineless judiciary is a joke! Most Singaporeans know that the judicial system is not totally impartial.
Also, the Christian Churches have been very vocal against repealing Section 377A. Christians make up under 20% of the total population by they make up a significant minority in Parliament, the TV/ print media and in the judicial system.
The judgement was not a surprise at all.
Singapore depends entirely and WANTS to have a reputation as a global, vibrant, open and welcoming city state. Stop visiting it! Tell friends and family to avoid it. Take your pink dollars elsewhere – go to Bali or Thailand! Yes, I’m saying – punish Singapore (my country) for keeping these archaic Victorian law in the books!

Boycott Singapore and all products from this homophobic country.

  4. Keith, thanks but no thanks on your moral instruction. You live your life and I’ll live mine.

  5. Some things are morally wrong and ought to be banned. Homosexual sex is one such!.

    Why?
