  1. The more freedoms won by minorities, the more cautious they must be to protect them. As we achieve greater equality, the danger of a backlash is heightened. We must NEVER allow this vile sort of persecution to go unpunished.

  2. What a horrible thing to do to anyone!

I hope that those responsible are caught and punished appropriately!

  3. Jock S. Trap 5 Apr 2013, 12:09pm

    This is truly disgusting.

To treat someone like this is beyond bullying it just nasty.

I hope those responsible will be held to account and punished properly. No hand slaps please. Proper justice.

There are so many things that need to be thoroughly investigated here. If there has been any collusion between the University’s Medical Centre and the perpetrator in obtaining Mr Sharp’s medical records then someone needs to face criminal charges. Secondly, if the perpetrator(s) is/are discovered they should be expelled with immediate effect.

And if they dare try and justify their behaviour using religion it should not be taken as a mitigating circumstance in any way. Texas needs to join the Western World.

    1. I’ll bet you my last Rolo that the person who leaked this medical information was an ex-lover of Kristopher’s.

That’s pretty much always the case with so-called racist or homophobic harassment on college campuses, or “hate crimes” in general. They either did it to themselves, or one of their own kind did for revenge, for attention, or to make some kind of point. It’s almost always an inside job.

This wasn’t some cartoonish homophobe that you people seem to think lurks behind every corner, it was a spurned lover or something. Mark my words. Even Kris said he didn’t want the perpetrator’s identity to be made public, which is a huge red flag right there.

Back this statement up or withdraw it. Studies and evidence please.

      2. You have raised a possibility, Cal, but it’s only one possibility amongst a number, surely. What those other possibilities have in common is, as you imply, inside knowledge.

Someone has broken the code of medical confidentiality.

Is this what happened to you Caligula?

      4. Dan Filson 5 Apr 2013, 10:16pm

You assume promiscuity on the part of Kristopher, without evidence. This says more about you tan about him. You have no idea how he was infected. Nor f the motives of the person doing this. The one thing of which I am certain is that the body holding Kristopher’s medical records needs a searching examination of their security procedures by a regulatory body.

  5. Am I seeing straight?
Has Pink News actually reprinted the poster?
That is a truly appalling thing to do.
Shame on Pink News. That’s just as scummy as the original act.

    1. I do not think so. I think it is good to show how low some people would go… There is nothing shameful about having AIDS, the poster is shameful for the ones that made it and not for Kris or the other guy…

  6. Has pink news received consent to use this man’s image?
If not then Pink News is tabloid scum.
This is utterly disgraceful _ especially in light of the Lucy Meadows story.

Pink News need to remove this image immediately

    1. The lucy meadows story was an attack on her, this is not, the image is already in the public domain and higlights in a supportive way just how horrible people can be towards us. This kind of thing will help the average person understand what we mean when we say we are bullied and attacked.

      1. MaggieRandom 5 Apr 2013, 7:25pm

Very true, if no one see’s that this sort of thing is happening, then they wont believe it, and just push the notion to the side.

  7. MaggieRandom 5 Apr 2013, 7:24pm

It’s horrifying that it would come to this. While I am not surprised that this sort of thing has happened, I’m sick to my stomach that these horrid people got a hold of his medical records, I’m ASHAMED to live in this state, and even more so that someone would go forth and commit this injustice. My heart goes out to this guy, and to others who have, and are, facing this sort of persecution. I’m ashamed to live in this country…

  8. My question is, how in the hell did the scum who perpetrated this execrable piece of low smear tactics get ahold of his medical records, in the first place? Medical records are supposed to be private and confdential.

All parties in this act need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and records of the proceedings published on every social network. Let’s see if the sauce will be any more tasty on the gander as it is on the goose.

  9. Wow, this is creepy homophobia. Uganda-level creepy.

  10. Spanner1960 6 Apr 2013, 4:06pm

This is truly appalling, but unsurprising from red-neck Texas.

This demands not only a uni, but a police investigation, and arrests made.

  11. Davey Baalmann 7 Apr 2013, 6:36am

Pure EVIL and vile people hide behind religion, they are NAZI homophobes. It makes me wonder what’s pushing the anti agenda? Hate is a learned behavior.
