  1. Someone’s off their medication again.

  2. Ah, right, so getting the shit kicked out of you is simply friendly guidance. Good to know.

  3. I challenge her to put her “christian” beliefs front and centre.

If she SO adamantly believes in her Bible, then she should prove it and stop eating pork and shellfish.

She should also shut the fu** up as women are expressly forbidden from speaking out in public in the Bible.

She’s just another pseudo-christian extremist hypocrite.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 4 Apr 2013, 6:17pm

Well, ‘christians’ aren’t supposed to judge anyone, so I supposed she’s not even that.

  4. Robert in S. Kensington 4 Apr 2013, 6:16pm

She apparently is the abomination. It’s a pity she were ever born. One of nature’s mistakes.

  5. James Savik 4 Apr 2013, 6:17pm

Linda Harvey hasn’t looked like that since the eighties. She is a broken down bitter old haggis.

    1. I don’t think it fair to haggis’ everywhere to be compared to this idiot!

  6. “For those of us who truly have a Christian worldview, we do not accept the terms, definitions and claims of the advocates of homosexuality, like the claim that standing up against homosexuality and calling it a sin is hateful and is similar to bully. No, it’s not.”
Christian, as in Christ-like, as in accepting, as in “Love shall be the whole of the law”? You and those like you, Ms. Harvey, are none of the above. You are hateful, full of spite for those who do not think and act as you do, and therefore you believe that you have the right to FORCE others to behave as you think they should…and you are wrong!
You try to tell people that “there aren’t REALLY any gays and lesbians, just people trying to deny god and his PERFECT plan.” You insist that people who go counter to this “plan” are either agents of, or under the influence of your devil. I find your hubris immensely insulting and hope I get to see it come back on you in painful ways.

  7. kind of ironic that she states :”“What causes real harm to kids? Being deprived of the chance to hear all the facts about homosexuality and gender confusion; being told there is only one acceptable viewpoint on this” when that is EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS PROMOTING!

  8. David in Indianapolis 4 Apr 2013, 6:54pm

“She went on to further defend the idea that according to Christian teachings, homosexuality is wrong, and that by “standing up against” it, Christians don’t bully gay youths, but help them by “giving guidance”.”

Those gay kids don’t want your “giving guidance” you crazy ass bitch! So why don’t you back off and leave them the f*ck alone? All of the prayers in Christendom won’t change them one iota and your God is 100 percent happy with them just the way they are.

Yet another old and tired bible thumping windbag complaining because people are unwilling to tolerate her intolerance.

  9. This sort of rancid talk makes me want to scream so loudly and from such a deep place inside me that the worlds splits apart and the entire human race is extinguished. Yes: it gets to me. I despise these bigoted idiots so much that I can taste it. Maybe I need therapy. Show me to a darkened room please someone.

    1. YOU aren’t the one who needs therapy, Michael. It’s Linda Harvey that seems to need some kind of therapy and preferably a full psychiatric assessment. She doesn’t seem well at all.

      1. Thank you Iris. I agree but this constant stream of horrible stuff is just utterly crushing sometimes. I read the Independent online comments on the Jeremy Irons story yesterday and thought i’d stumbled into the Daily Mail chat room by mistake so horrible was it.

Classic example of a bully! Who is she anyway?

    1. A nobody

  11. “parents should “keep kids home that day if the Day of Silence ”

The best anti bullying day is definitely a day without the kids of parents like this. Like their parents they are likely to be the bullies.

  12. onesecond 4 Apr 2013, 8:15pm

Really, how much money can you make with this bullshit? Does she get millions too for that like other radio hosts in the US?
You really dont get paid according to an actual achievement these days, do you?

  13. This woman is so obsessed, she comes out with so much anti-gay ranting she could have her own category on this site.

I suggest we call it “Oh, Linda”…

  14. Oh you vile old turnip!

I see we are still eating Shellfish and wearing two different fabrics. I guess you purposely exclude these from the true Christian ways?

  15. She so reminds me of Iris Robinson, I wonder if Linda Harvey also has a penchant for the local butcher and his son.

  16. This poor excuse for a human being has obviously lost the plot……….again. She not only mixes her metaphors but has no understanding of any of the issues involved. Frankly she belongs behind bars in a mental institution. She is a danger to the youth of America and should be treated as such.

  17. This is typical of the fundamentalist mindset. Fundamentalism replaces the love, compassion, and empathy Jesus brought to this World with the destructive power of raw fear and control. There is no love, no wisdom and no spiritual growth in fundamentalism. Jesus knew this and dared tell the fundamentalists of His day that they were flat out wrong. In turn they pressured Pontius Pilate into crucifying Him. Fundamentalism is the enemy and is pure evil.

  18. I hate reading hateful garbage like this

  19. More hate-speech bursting out of the rotting, diseased corpse that passes itself off as Christianity in some parts…..This woman’s capacity to distort the Christian message of love and forgiveness into one of hate and punishment would be worthy of Orwell at his best, if her intent were to reveal the wickedness & stupidity of the wacky ‘religion’ she preaches. As it stands, she sounds more like Josef Goebels’ lobotomised parrot…

  20. Barking!!!

  21. Kurt S., teacher 5 Apr 2013, 8:28am

I feel dumber for having read the transcripts of what she said. I also need a shower now….

  22. Dear Mrs. Harvey,
My Boyfriend and I hope that you can find the love and compassion that the bible speaks of for your fellow human beings. You speak of hatred and forced views by gays and lesbians against Christianity, but from this story this is what I see from you toward the gays and lesbians. We strive to live our lives according to the bible and while we see thieves, murders, and adulterers every day in society we keep in mind that we are to “love they neighbor” even if the actions they perform are against gods will. It is up to them to seek forgiveness from the lord and not our place to judge, torment, and hate them for their sin.
I do hope you see the hate in your heart and as a christian as god for forgiveness and the strength to overcome it. If you find that you can not accomplish this on your own we are here to help and support you as you struggle with this personal demon.
May gods love and peace find you,
    Jeremy

    1. Dave North 5 Apr 2013, 10:28am

I would simply have said, “drop dead, you hateful old hag”.

      More meaningful.

  23. There are none so blind as those that will not see.

  24. Jock S. Trap 5 Apr 2013, 11:36am

Being that this a youth run day of protest against bullying, I think Linda Harvey’s comments can only be described as disgusting and mental child abuse.

She chooses to openly accept the bullying of a child by bullying. People like her have many innocent children’s blood on there hands. It’s completely unacceptable.

She chooses to ignore humanity to follow some backward notion of her religious texts. She should be ashamed of herself.

She is instigating bullying, openly supporting bullying and torment, just to please her own ends of discrimination.

    Absolutely shameful.

  25. Wonderfully said!

  26. “She also claimed that Jesus could be forced to marry another man if he was resurrected.” And there you have it, the LGBT community dont was to force anyone to marry, just the right to marry how they love, and =rights!!!

  27. Jen Marcus 5 Apr 2013, 1:20pm

On the contrary I think she overdosed on ” religion, the opiate of the people!”

  28. Huh, “homosexual activists and their allies will once again stage a silent day of protest in schools against high moral standards”??? I’m sorry, you’re as misguided as to think in stereotypes. Promiscuity is just as rampant among heterosexual, white, middle class, Christian teens. The number of cases involving sexual abuse of children is higher in your institutions of so-called higher moral standards, than it is in the LGBTQ community.

Also, “and that by “standing up against” it, Christians don’t bully gay youths, but help them by “giving guidance”.”? Really?? You speak from the privileged pedestal of the white, heteronormative person. You are not oppressed, at any point, nor were you in the past. You are not being targetted by anyone for how you were born, only for the way in which you CHOOSE to express your beliefs. And remember, it is not the bully who gets to decide whether or not what they do is bullying.

Shame on you, lady, and get your head out of your arse.

  29. If its any consolation this type of absurd and vitriolic hyperbole turns off Christians, especially the youth. She is digging Christianity’s grave one hate filled shovel at a time. Thanks dear for advancing the cause of secularism.

  30. To profess to hold high ideals and then continually denigrate whole sections of society and uphold ( support ?) hate crimes only proves that it is she who is an abomination.

  31. Everything that a religious freak disagrees with seems to be an “abomination” these days. They should by a dictionary.

  32. bojamajams 6 Apr 2013, 5:13pm

Hope the dumb bitch doesn’t ever work on the sabbath, or else she’s just as much of an abomination!

  33. What a witch!

  34. Gina Conners 3 May 2013, 3:36pm

I’m half convinced that Harvey says these kinds of things because it gets her attention. Before she became a public malignancy, there were more people on any given day watching pre-natal sonograms than listening to her show. Fortunately, no one with a functioning frontal lobe takes this talking cancer cell seriously.
