Rapper Busta Rhymes has been accused of shouting anti-gay slurs at an employee at a Miami restaurant.

According to the Miami New Times, Rhymes entered Cheeseburger Baby at around 6.00 am on Wednesday.

He reportedly jumped in front of other customers to get served faster.

When staff told him that he had to wait, owner Stephanie Vitori, who is gay, said Rhymes became “very upset.”

The rapper then reportedly shouted a string of homophobic slurs.

Ms Vitori said Rhymes became enraged that his mayonnaise, ketchup, salt and pepper were included on the side – something she said Cheeseburger Baby does as a rule to prevent soggy buns.

He reportedly called a delivery employee a “fag” and the owner a “bitch,” and said he’d “come get [them].”

“We have had everyone from Jay-Z to Anthony Bourdain eat at Cheeseburger Baby,” Ms Vitori said. “Never have we had a problem with a celebrity. That changed last night.”

She added: “I deal with drunk and disorderly people all the time. I have been doing this for 13 years, but never in my life have I felt more disrespected as a business owner or woman.”

In 2006, Busta Rhymes was accused of shouting homophobic abuse at a music fan in Miami.

Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr, has spoken previously in support of gay artists, telling MTV News: “I think the whole world is ready to accept whatever people choose to be in life,” when R&B artist Frank Ocean came out last year.
