  1. Hopefully Alabama will do the right thing here. These laws, and laws like them, actually exist in several other states too. More on that here: http://www.youthallies.com/no-promo-homo-anti-gay-laws/

  2. Oh! Susanna, you can cry how much you want for him and for all the LGBT young people, he’s come from Alabama, probably running away from persecution and bullying he suffered there due to this discriminatory and unconstitutional law.

    Shameful they have such laws.

Surely a teachers job is to teach for the children to prepare for a better future not remain in the past!

It’s no wonder children grow up with problems… religion enforces it!

  4. Any remaining ant-gay laws or religiously-inspired hate speech, is likely to produce feelings of self-loathing in people struggling to come to terms with their sexuality. That’s why we have a DUTY as a community to counter ANY attempt to demonise us. If black-rights campaigners hadn’t fought back at the same kind of vile bigotry WE now face, they would still be sitting in a separate part of the bus. Well done to these campaigners!

It is the job of any school to EDUCATE! To present an ACCURATE picture of the world to young minds. They should be encouraging intelligent, independent thought. To present them with a cherry picked or false representation of the world, is to do them a huge dis-service.

The US SUpreme Court in a landmark decision ruled that what consenting adults do in the pirvacy of their bedroom is between them.

Alabama, another state that time forgot.

  8. Where the “general public” really means the elderly good ol’ boys club.
