  1. “You (Westerners) have imposed on us enough of your bad practices, right from guns, and we shall not allow homosexuality in Uganda because the Bible forbids it.”

Completely missing the irony that the West imposed Christianity on them. *facepalm*

    1. Yes, that statement is gobsmackingly daft! She’s got it completely the wrong way round. It’s the BIBLE we ‘imposed’ on Africa not homosexuality!

  2. The bible tells us we are allowed slaves.
rape, that women are the property of males, etc etc.

Back to Africa we go to get ourselves more slaves then is it?

    1. Irony detection fail

      1. Not really Melanie Phillips comment show a complete lack sensitivity

  3. Religion and the ignorant is a bad combination … . Just another form of witch craft and illusions. If not so horrible, it would be funny.

We should remember that Uganda persecuted their Asian minority some time back. Now it’s gays. That the president’s wife is able to claim anti-homosexuality laws are not intended to persecute gays tells one all one needs to know about the mental gymnastics of the country’s Christian leadership. They are not alone, unhappily. There is also Nigeria. The western world has a duty to boycott all these countries with appalling rulers and force the people to think again about whom they elect.

  5. How thick can an MP be? (Well, Ok..) Alice Also; “You (Westerners) have imposed on us enough of your bad practices, right from guns, and we shall not allow homosexuality in Uganda because the Bible forbids it.” So, give us the Bible back, then.

    1. until the 50s the bible didn’t mention “gay” or “homosexual” at all.

  6. Janet Museveni is in the pocket of the US transformation ministries who have been grooming her and her sister for years to enforce their anti-gay evangelical agenda.
She is thoroughly brainwashed by the love-bombing and praise she receives from these homophobic people.

    1. Jean-Paul 1 Apr 2013, 9:55pm

Janet Museveni and Martin Ssempa were instrumental in formulating the kill-the-gays bill.

      1. Through the close ties these US evangelical ministries have orchestrated with Janet Museveni and the influence they have over her Jean-Paul, she was not only instrumental in the introduction of the “Kill the gays bill” but also the deadly and unworkable abstinence programs that replaced the widespread distribution of condoms while tramsmission of HIV has continued to soar in Uganda, although she will claim otherwise.

  7. I saw Janet Museveni and her husband and their delegation checking into Claridges last summer when they attended the Games. The £5000 a night suite was being subsidised with Overseas Aid provided by this country.

No doubt they will be lording it up in Glasgow next year on their foreign aid money. Countries that still criminalise homosexuality should not be made welcome at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and unfortunately that means the vast majority of Commonwealth countries.

  8. I thought you lot were taking to this religion thing. Which, originated in the West.

What else is the bill designed for then, if not for persecuting gays? Numbskulls.

  9. GingerlyColors 1 Apr 2013, 8:50pm

So how can you explain this: A bill that is designed to persecute gays is not designed to persecute gays. Even my simple mind has worked out that the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill is designed to persecute and murder gay people.

  10. That_Matt 1 Apr 2013, 8:57pm

Fortunately, PN readers, we can ignore her. After all, Timothy 11:15 (new testament, so no cherrypicking cop-out) makes it very clear that women need to shut up, submit and learn their place beneath men.

If everything they do in Uganda has precedent in the kkkristian bible, then it is time to turn that to our advantage and go get some slaves….the bible not only allows slavery, it says one can even sell one’s daughter into sexual slavery! How is that for a “good” book? It also allows almost everything Sharia law allows, especially in the way of ‘punishment’! The Africans have been swayed by American evangelicals to imprison and murder LGBT people in the same way the Germans were ‘pursuaded’ to murder Jews by self-identified ‘kkkristians. So much for that line of ‘reasoning’! The Ugandans are simply bigots and savages, like so many others….sadly. Evil freakin kkkristians!

  12. Janet? That’s a very African name you have there.

  13. Snoop lion comes out in favour of gay marriage and no comments. But you filthy racist pigs get the chance to reinforce your racist behaviour ad you’re all over it. Proper scum

    1. Dave North 2 Apr 2013, 11:29am

What is racist about pointing out the sheer ignorance this woman is displaying.

Her skin colour has nothing to do with it.

      1. Dave North 2 Apr 2013, 11:30am

In fact YOU are the only one drawing attention to it.

    2. TeenageWhore 2 Apr 2013, 1:54pm

      shut up james

      1. Yeah that will work

  14. Penny Marie Sautereau 2 Apr 2013, 1:17pm

The mindblowing irony here is that CHRISTIANITY is the “Western Import” that has done the most damage to Africa.

  15. Boycott and stop financial aid. Money talks load and clear.

  16. Well Your Excellency – it was the westerners that brought in the gospel in the first place so we are told and the one that was preached was erroneous now the ex colonies are stuck with that error – that Homosexuality is still outlawed by God . It is not Jesus Christ has Amended the whole thing.
