  1. he’s perfect for the part – if there’s anyone as homophobic as good old Benedict it’s Everett…

  2. Can I be the first to say APRIL FOOL!!

    1. I fell for it for quite a while!! :( Haha!

    2. Or ‘Fillop Rao’ as we dyslexics say.

  3. Nice Try

  4. Who knew Pope Benedict XVI had that much ‘work’ done?

  5. Ouch !

    You got me.

    Very clever indeed, very believable.

I thought 5 minutes ago, ‘heh, April Fool’s day is here. They’ll not catch me this year.’ Oh, PN, you’ve crushed my soul again. Hook, line and sinker. :(

    Rupert Everett? Who?

  8. Wait, wasn’t this role already reserved for Anthony “Hannibal” Hopkins ? Or did he refuse the role because he didn’t want to be typecast for always playing disturbing pathological liar sociopaths ?

  9. Damn it!
Why?? I fell for it. But how awesome would it be, had it been true?

well and truly fell for that , laughing is a good way to start the day ! thank you x

  11. As a staunch ex Catholic, I find this horrifying! I cannot accept an openly homosexual gay playing this part. It would be a complete mockery. As we all know, pope Benedict is without sin, so to have this self confessed ‘slut’ depict him is sacrilege. Why do they have to have someone who is ‘with sin’ play this part at all? I can just about accept someone who places hus winky-woo in a lady’s front bottom, or perhaps between the oompa-loompas, but thus player if the pink kazoo? Never!

    1. An ex catholic who’s still a bigoted homophobe, And in love with the Nazi ratzinger? “Sin” is a made up concept, created by the church to control their sheep, and gather the mass wealth the church currently has, by spreading lies, deluding it’s flock, and raping/pillaging countless natives, all the while buggering the choir boys.
And you defend these monsters? Then you’re no better than them.

      1. mike – – have you realised what day it is yet?…Bryan may be joking…

        1. Lol! Don’t you just adore the irony…

    2. Julian Clary would have been a better choice IMO.

Love it LOL… as if Rupert Everett could act, let alone in this role.

Surely a Better April fool story around!!

    1. Well the whole thing seems to have confused some people Jock!

    2. He would not have to act in this role.

Rupert’s face looks like its been sat on by a whole delegation of papal cardinals. I wonder what his annual spendings are on ‘trade’? No guy would go near him now unless money were involved.

    1. He was a rent boy, so I’m sure a few of the chruch sat on his face.

  14. Benjamin Cohen, Well Done!

You got me! And I came to the site fully aware it was April Fools Day!

I am an April Fool! Well done!

    Thank you!

Yet more proof of how we can all be easily gulled.

Now, don’t it any more till next year, Benjamin, you hear!

  15. when i saw the title i thought it must be april’s fool, then i was like doh

  16. Sue De Nimes 1 Apr 2013, 4:01pm

    Pope Benedict is anti Gay????

Oh, I get it…..April Fool – very funny

  17. Why doesn’t he just pursue a job in the clergy instead? Oh sorry, he already is.

  18. Okay, you got me, lol. I thought that Princess Diana story was your April Fool. Truth is stranger than fiction I suppose.

  19. Stupied yoke. Everett has not the most beautiful eyes like Benedict:))
