  1. ‘Do or die’ is basically what’s facing the republicans. I’d much rather they change their policy because they believe it, though.
    But we’re talking about politics. When has honesty ever been a factor?
    As for the senator’s main remark. I would agree.

  2. By the time the GOP gets around to nominating a candidate that fully endorses gay marriage and other civil rights to all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation … the entire issue will have become moot.
    In other words, the Republican Party will continue to be chasing the caboose of the socially-progressive policy train.

    What that will do if it were ever to happen would be the end of the Tea Party as we know it. It would split the GOP in two.
