  1. Isn’t quarantine supposed to be a temporary measure that gets implemented to both prevent the spread of a disease, and to best control the conditions to help in the person’s recovery?

Quarantine for HIV/AIDS would have to be indefinite, because there is no guaranteed absolute cure available for them.

This proposal could feasibly be used to imprison people for life without trial.

  2. In the eighties there was a rally about proposed quarantines (I think it was in the USA). The proposition then was “ship ‘em off to an island”. Someone at the mike said “Fine… We’ll have Bermuda”

Only in America. Be thankful we live in the UK.

Good god. The whole fucking state of Kansas needs to be quarantined. Honestly, we may have shit weather and small houses but thank bloody heavens I live in the UK and not the USA!!!! Shit tip.

  5. Quarantined in a ghetto where they have to wear arm bands?

Does step two of this master plan involve giant ovens?

  6. What century are the law makers of Kansas living in?

    This really does disgust me!

  7. This is a very dangerous development and no doubt aimed at Gay men. What next, if you are Gay you’ll be incarcerated into large compounds ready for the “final solution”?

  8. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME,,, IN THIS DAY AND AGE , YOU KANSAS ARE STILL LIVING IN THE PAST, WITH YOUR OUT DEMOND OUT, WAYS ,OF THE COMIC YOU CALL THE BOOK OF HOW TO LIVE LIFE, SO WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO ROUND UP ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HIV AND PUT THEM ALL ON A RESERVATION LIKE YOU DID last time , PLEASE PEOPLE OF KANSAS GET SOME HELP, AND COME IN TORAINBOW

    1. If true, this report is HORRIFYING.

This and so many other reports, like that of how many young people marched against Equal Marriage in Paris recently, confirms the fact that there is deeply entrenched HATRED of LGBTs out there in the world, both here in the UK, in Europe, the USA, and elsewhere.

It’s actually very very frightening. I look down my street and wonder which neighbours really are our friends, who hate us (beneath the smiles), and who don’t mind us, and whether any really really respect us as being EQUAL to them.

These Kansas legislators are clearly suffering from some form of mass hysteria, homophobia perhaps, and in need of psychiatric treatment.

We here in Kansas need your help. Ignorance and intollerance mixed with religious fanatics are trying once again to rid society of people with HIV/AIDS. Please call Washington and demand equality for people with disabilities. The Americans civil liberties are being taken away from us in an attempt to run us out. We ask for your letters and help, please. Davey Baalmann living with AIDS/HIV

This law has to be challenged all the way, if necessary, to the Supreme Court of the US. Start with the state Supreme Court (if they’ll let you).
