  1. Sad that it took him two years to come out in support of his son. Just goes to show the power of religious brianwashing to which this guy must have been subjected all his life. And, guess what? Since he did change his views on gay marriage, there has been no earthquake, no pestilence, no plague of locusts. This obviously means god approves of Rob Portman’s support for his gay son.

    I wonder how many of our MPs who voted against equal marriage have a gay son or daughter? How many of the males in both houses are having sex with other males and who also voted against it I wonder?

    The article’s title is a bit misleading. The title seems to imply that Portman is saying the entire GOP has been respectful when he’s actually only talking about the crowd at the event he’s talking about.

  5. That’s the best way to describe Republicans nowadays: completely blind and in self-denial. Most Republicans and conservatives in the whole country are demanding his head on a silver plate and he still has the courage to say he was well received by them. I feel sorry for his son for having to deal with his father recently coming out as a stooge.
