Mr. Perry I am sure Madonna does not give a damn what you think…..

  2. Perry, stand on a stage in Paris, London, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Mexico City or any large city for that matter and announce that you are the governor of the state of Texas; the silence punctuated with guffaws should tell you how much the world truly cares about men of your ilk.

Rick Perry is a joke. Anything that he said immensely helps his opposition gain credibility. If he wants to attack same-sex marriage, the best way would be for him to come out in favour of it.

  4. love it

  5. If he can’t say anything nice, Rick Perry would do well to keep quiet on gay rights.

Perhaps someone should send him press clippings about Cardinal O’Brien’s disgrace?

  6. I have to say the image is a little troubling. ;-)

  7. Maybe all the gay pride marches all over america should be in scout uniform in 2013.

Meanwhile in NYC Lady Gaga is busy getting her stylist to knock together a similar ensemble.

    1. No doubt made of real boy scouts.

  9. I’m not a huge Madonna music fan, but I think what she did was brilliant, and her speech was a bit awkward but mostly funny and bang on the money.

Like it or not, celebrities have replaced politicians when it comes to social issues. When Madonna comments on something people pay attention. Nobody gives a flying flag what Rick Perry has to say, apart from the people who are already hardline conservative and already share his opinion. He has no influence on the winds of change.

Unfortunately, I do think this harassing and cornering of the BSA into making a decision they clearly don’t want to make, will make millionaire conservatives like Mitt Romney and probably Rick Perry, make up the lost revenue so they get their own way. So they lost $150,000 from UPS? So? That’s a drop in the Atlantic for these people.

I don’t think these actions are wrong, just question their effectiveness.

If Mads is pissing off Perry she’s doing something right! :)

  11. Rick perry ? Ain’t nobody got time for that !!
