  1. And how does this moron bigot propose to run his country when the westerm aid stops.

Does he not realise that the genocidal homophobia rampant in his country absolves western countries of any obligation to finance his country?

    1. It *should* absolve western countries of any obligation to finance them, but it doesn’t. If Uganda introduces the death penalty for homosexuality, the UK will probably continue sending them as much aid as before.

  2. It may be wishful thinking but I really do hope he kisses his wife in public.

  3. I’d love to know how much of the UK’s tax-payers money is sent to Uganda each year.

Ideally, Uganda should be expelled from the Commonwealth but that is not going to happen as the majority of Commonwealth members are anti-gay.

The Queen and the UK Government shouldn’t want any association with such an extremist organisation, but infuriatingly they do.

    1. About 100,000,000 per annum apparently

      1. £100 million? Annually? That’s crazy. Even crazier that we’ll probably continue sending that, if not more, if and when they legislate to execute gay people. We’d be paying into a system that carries out genocide.

What is the Commonwealth actually for? It’s mostly a collection of corrupt, backward, homophobic countries which do nothing except hold their hands out for UK aid money.

      1. Essentially it’s a paid membership of preferential trading routes between member nations; a bit like the EU.

        1. It feels like the UK does all the paying of membership fees.

      2. its no wonder blacks are hated in this country if they are coming to the uk to poison vulnerable people about homosexuality.
They are mentally, confused people, un-educated and narrow minded,
he should lean how to multi task with his anus l.o.l

    What a f—ing crackpot. Let me correct that for you darling;

“In our society, there are just as many LGBT people as anywhere else on the planet. We persecution them, we kill them and we marginalisation them. We regard them as deviants. Sex among Africans including heterosexuals is based on colonial instructions given to us by invaders – but it’s ok, we don’t mind, because we’re just savages really.”

    1. Well said Gulliver – except maybe the “savages” bit.

      1. What other definition of savage would you prefer?

Ive never minded the ‘deviant’ label. We ARE deviant. There is always going to be ways of behaviour that the majority adopt. And theres always gonna ways of behaviour the deviates away from that. But thats not a threat. My sexuality IS deviant, but not ‘wrong’ or threatening.

    1. We may be considered deviant by some, as we are not accepted by some, but I think my sexuality should be acceptable, so therefore I DO mind the deviant label. I am not deviant in my mind, just in the mind of those who do not accept me.

      — adj
      1. deviating, as from what is considered acceptable behaviour

      — n
      2. a person whose behaviour, esp sexual behaviour, deviates from what is considered to be acceptable

      1. Well using those definitions Id have to agree with you. But if you sustitute the word ‘acceptable’, for something like ‘usual’, then deviant loses its negative connitations, and simpley become an apt word to describe something that deviates away from the usual, which homosexuality does. Hetrosexuality makes up like 90 odd % of the world. Im not saying that homosexuality should be thought of as Unusual (so maybe the word usual isnt a great substitue) but it does deviate away from the majority. Thats all I was saying

  6. Funny really, he wouldn’t want to have sex with me but I bet he wouldn’t say no to using me as an ingredient.

  7. Is Uganda part of the Commonwealth? I thought the queen, as its head, had just asked all commonwealth countries to sign up to a human rights treaty which demands respect for ALL citizens? We need tp punish people like this in the only way they understand; cut off their aid.

  8. I always find it ironic that these people who’re apparently so keen to distance themselves from anything European like equal rights wear (European) suits, speak English in parliament, and follow variants of a religion introduced by European colonists and evangelists. Shame they’re apparently incapable of seeing the irony themselves.

Its called religious indoctrination fortified by stupidity and a pathological inability to think for ones self.

  9. Yes we should be critical of the Ugandan President. But how does using racist language such as savages and talk of cannibals help gay Ugandans?

    1. People don’t care about that on here – sprouting racist crap and then moaning about homophobia!

      1. You my friend are out of touch cos people do care about other gay people
getting killed just because f whom they are.
Black people are very arrogant small minded idividuals, they think they should poison society with there venom comments, yet they are blind to the mass suffering country they live in with disease and people dying all over the place.
What hacks me off, is they gladly take money from the uk, even though they know
gay people live here. what a bunch of tossers.

Why should we pay any attention to a nation that allowed IDI AMIN to take control? That shows a certain lack of judgement in itself!

    1. Lion in Winter 19 Mar 2013, 11:00pm

Umm, do you have any friends in Germany?

      1. Liam the God 19 Mar 2013, 11:56pm

I have VERY distant relatives there.

    2. The citizens of some African nations do not have much of a say on who takes control of their country. They are living under dictatorships who often take control by force and although elections can take place, they tend to be rigged.

  11. this is coming from the president of a country where the following is promoted…According to Uganda’s pastor Martin Ssempa, “people with HIV/AIDS are told by SORCERERS (throughout Africa) that if they want to be healed from HIV/AIDS they must rape a virgin.”
