Quite a classy brush off, considering the way he has behaved in the past. He does have something, though…

  5. It is ridiculous articles of nonsense like this that fuel such vile behaviour to the LGBT community. He made a comment that means very little in the grand scheme of things. We are supposed to be trying to break down the idea that if someone is gay it is a big deal. Not enforce it.

    1. I agree, giving further uncritical publicity to this sort of breathless drivel is one of the things that gives us gay men a bad name.

  8. Geez leave it out. If he said no thanks he’d be called homophobic, if he graciously accepts just to be polite then he’s on the turn. Gay guys hate it when people make jokes like backs against the walls lads as if we fancy all men but then we go and let ourselves down by looking for gay where there is non.

This isn’t news s why on earth are you even reporting it pinknews ???

  12. What a daft story! Good for Prince Harry responding to a jokey question with a jokey answer, just as a good many hetero men his age would do these days. Being gay just isn’t an issue to most (sadly not all) twenty-somethings now and his response reflects that, he was being polite and humourous – this does not signify sexual interest!

I don’t see what the problem is – do you want everybody to be 100% gay or 100% straight? The real world isn’t like that, the political struggle in which we live is exceptionally polarised, you’re either absolutely gay or absolutely straight – it doesn’t actually hold water when you look at actual empirical data – there are a whole group of bisexuals in the middle of the sexuality scale.

The very fact he made a jokey comment indicating he wasn’t bothered if he went with a women or man recognises reality, that some people love people, not genders.

Most of us do say we are in a fixed state of only feeling sexually and romatically attracted to the same gender, or opposite gender, but lets recognise there are others who are less fixed. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

And yes, he is sexy, and he also comes across as a very real honest genuine person.

  18. How delightful! At least THIS royal parasite does not appear to automatically loathe gay and lesbian people. At least THIS young blood did not feel it encumbent upon him to immediately “put up his jukes” and punch Mr. Ianniello in the face!

Let’s hope this brother, the future king, is of a similarly accepting outlook with regard to LGBTs.

You put that better than I could. Some men would have been offended, he was entirely laid back and …. didn’t take offence.

As for other people talking about this place becoming like Heat Magazine – yes please, if it means more of this and little bit less of the twisted insane mad religious nutters from across the pond with their vicious venomous putrid bile. Let’s have a balance please. Too much reporting of hate and it gets people down, and then they don’t want to come here, because it’ll just be one downer story after another. Let’s have a little positivity ! :)

      Post a reply →
    2. Who are you calling a “parasite?” Have you spent as much time in uniform, and in combat, as Harry has? Have you worked to raise awareness of childhood HIV infection in Africa, as Harry has?

Or you were perhaps referring to his uncle Andrew, a combat veteran of the Falklands? Or his grandmother, among other things a veteran of the Women’s Auxiliary Army in WWII? Or his father, a lifelong campaigner for environmental issues? Or his aunt Anne, a former Olympic competitor? Yeah, they’re all real layabouts.

  20. Oh, good grief… talk about people reading too much into things. I have one gay friend, who is one of the sexiest men on the planet, who I have told the exact same thing. BUT, I’m disgustedly straight. Utterly, completely, totally straight. Just very secure in it. I suspect Harry is the same way. As to the video he made with the soldier…that’s not gay or straight, that’s just soldier …probably trying to shock and be shocking. I can recall debating with a fellow sailor on who gets to “break in” the “fresh meat” – scare the poor dumb kid half to death, so much the Chief had to give us a talking to.

SO, I’m not saying Harry is or isn’t gay/bi/straight, I don’t think it matters. I’m saying don’t read too much into these things people. There are plenty of perfectly straight people out there who are either secure enough or simply mature enough that they don’t just immediately go for the “gross out drama” when it on by a member of the same sex.

    Post a reply →
    1. No, love. You might be many things, but you’re definitely not straight.

      Post a reply →
    2. In other words, military men are secure enough in their sexuality not to say “Ugh, that’s gay” when someone touches them…just like Rugby players seem to have a tendency to get naked at any opportunity. Or is that my wishful thinking?
I remember seeing Middle Eastern men in Paris holding hands back in 1974. My mate explained that they had no problem with it, even if they are straight, it’s an expression of friendship.
Soldiers face death and danger together, they have to work 100% as a team, so “looking a bit gay” is not the issue it would be to a gang of London chavs. Working, sleeping and bathing together makes them brothers, not lovers!

We have got out-gay people in showbusiness, music, sport and politics, so I am surprised that we have not yet had a member of the Royal Family who is openly gay. It is generally accepted that Edward II was bisexual but Royals would have risked being sent to the Tower if they came out as gay.
The Queen Mother employed gay men as servants, notably ‘Backstairs’ Billy Tallon because they will not be hamstrung by wives and children, even before the 1967 decriminalisation of homosexuality. I will be surprised if we don’t get a gay Royal within the next couple of decades.

Don’t forget William II (William Rufus) who was also said to be Gay, then there was James VI of Scotland/James I of England who was bisexual. King William of Orange was supposedly bisexual, too. He’s simply carrying on a noble family tradition. ;)

This IS news. Whether we like it or not, there is a distinct embellished celebrity culture, of which the Royal Family is included. I think we get a lot worse than the human being that Harry clearly is. He made the approach seem so harmless – as if it was something anybody, gay, straight or otherwise, or of any gender could do.

I would personally love to share a few rounds in the pub with him! He has his head screwed on

I think that artcle is newsworthy. It shows how relaxed and secure Harry is about his sexuality, so he makes a great rolemodel. That is a good way to react for a straight man if a gay man shows interest in him.

Noteworthy and classy. The article title is bad though.

    1. And how would that be? Having smoked a little pot, like millions of other young (and millions more not so young) people? By horsing around at a private party in Vegas, like millions of other young people? By going to Africa to continue his mother’s fight against land mines and AIDS? By joining up and risking his life in Iraq and Afghanistan alongside his men (despite political and media pressure to abandon his unit and just be a pretend soldier)? Precisely what past behaviour do you think he needs to make up for?

Sounds too good to be true…it’s probably just another PR stunt by the Queen’s press agent. The Royal family just want to be loved so that they can survive. I’m not anti-monarchy…I quite like some of them…and they make me laff, but we have to be realistic…they are not real and they know it…but they do great PR (William & Kate’s wedding, Jubilee celebrations, Queen jumping out of a ‘copter with that geezer from Skyfall)
