  1. The level of utter stupidity from these groups never ceases to amaze me. They probably still believe the earth is flat and you can fall if the edge. Idiots!

    1. Our republican party = some people see it as they saw germany in the 1920s headed for naziism

BTW heres how the catholic church foughtd the nazis in gErmany – by kissing their arse………..

Ain’t America great?? And ya wanna know what else?? They have more nukes and spend more money on weaponry than anyone else on Earth!!!

And they think they are chosen by some sky-pixie to lead the world…

    Need I continue?

What is even greater, we get the “honour” of living next door to these religious fanatics. We have the privilege of bathing in the afterglow of their divine nuclear waste. My biggest fear is one of these religious fanatics is going to combine with one of these buttons and soon North Korea will look tame.

    2. Helge Vladimir Tiller 17 Mar 2013, 3:40pm

Christopher in Canada – Nice comment ! I’m sure The Devil resides somewhere underground in America – due to the brilliant support from Christian fanatics. How evil can these people get ? (— Norway )

  3. “Portman has conveniently ignored the warnings against the sin of homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments”.

The members of this hate group will have obviously ignored warnings against ‘sins’ relating to them in both the Old and New Testaments. Their arrogance and self-righteousness is so unrestrained that they obviously think they’re absolved from those ‘sins’.

I wish Senator Portman would sue these idiots.

Christian hatred is far too prevalent around the world, but the US appears to be their particular stronghold. Their hate-preaching is on the same level as extremist Muslims who the US rightfully treat as a terrorist threat. The US needs to do some housekeeping in its own country and tame these extremist Christians.

    1. “Christian hatred is far too prevalent around the world, but the US appears to be *their* particular stronghold.” Change ‘their’ to ‘its’!

    2. Christisna – the bible thumpers who gave us segregation and slavery. the curse of mankind – all over a BS story from thousands of years ago by ignorant savages who were in the game for the money

    3. Helge Vladimir Tiller 17 Mar 2013, 3:47pm

VERY GOOD, JAMES ! In Norway we have a saying ; “Clean up in front of your own door ” !

One, straight people can get AIDS too.
Two, AIDS if caught early is a manageable condition and is no longer a death sentence if one receaves ongoing treatment and medication.
Three, practicing safe sex massively reduces the chances of contracting AIDS.
Four, allowing marriage equality would encourage monogamious relationships, farther reducing the spread of AIDS.
Fifth, these people couldn’t give a s*** about Sen. Portman’s son’s heath, its just another way for them to attack him and his father for been gay and been accepting of his son being gay.
Their arguements against homosexuality are nonsense but its slur campaign tactic no.1; throw enough s*** at a wall and some of it will stick. Their lies have to be countered at every oppertunity.

Five: You need to get a spell checker.

    ………!
I am speechless on this one! And EDUCATED PEOPLE have voted for this ignorant, mentally deranged Religionista? Never has the need for TOTAL separation of Religion and State been more graphically illustrated than this utter *redacted to avoid that bloody “as this is your first post” filter*!!!!!

    1. Time to end all religious freedom. $ trillions go to churches whose unprovable bS about life after death is the cruelst and most hate full religon in the world. If any regular insurance company tried to play the life after death BS they’d end up in Jail under our racketeering act.

Christianity makes as much sense as Mohammed rising up to heaven on a winged horse.

BTW given gravity etc and a round earth – which way is UP?

    2. vversatile 17 Mar 2013, 8:43am

I think calling some of them “educated people” is pushing it.
The republican party know very well that there is a correlation between how educated someone is and how much more likely that makes them to vote Democrat.

      1. Liam the God 17 Mar 2013, 9:55pm

Benefit of the doubt, matey. I assume they at least know how to tie their shoelaces, so that counts as “Education” for most religionistas.

  6. I suppose they have a point in that it is disappointing that Portman bases his change of heart on his own son’s coming out. Why did the senator not have any empathy for other people’s sons and daughters? Apart from that, of course, they are bat-shit crazy. Oh, and un-Christian.

  7. Ahhhh, now you are feeling directly on your skin Mr. Portman what it is like being on the other side of the civil rights fight, that is, being persecuted, bullied and segregated just for accepting something completely natural, both on yourself and on the people you love. Feels good isn’t Mr. Portman ? I hope you can feel the feeling of regret and guilt for all you have done in the past to people like your own son flowing through your veins right now. Yeah, that’s what we feel. As Atticus Finch said, “you never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view — until you climb around in his skin and walk around in it”.

  8. Isn’t it now becoming obvious to the American public where the real evil lies, where it has always lain? It’s not with gay people, it’s with these vindictive old religious morons who put Fred Phelps to shame. And do the the American public really want to be associated with them? These people don’t preach love, they seek control of others through fear; good old fashioned old testament fear.

  9. This is what sickens me! All they can think about is how us gays and lesbians have sex!! These people think about gay sex more than gay people themselves, my goodness! How do they know what happens in a gay persons bedroom? What if the rumors or things you heard were false?

    Please educate yourselves before barking!!

  10. A non-entity group trying to get exposure.

Even so, the argument that acceptance = death is useful to the pro-equality movement for two reasons.

Firstly, it’s repugnant. This type of fear-mongering makes most people feel thoroughly nauseated. Good luck trying to recruit new supporters with that rhetoric.

Secondly, it’s factually (and obviously) false. Risky behaviour is more, not less, likely among those of us struggling with parental rejection and associated low self-esteem.

That goes beyond riskier sex and applies to smoking, drugs, binge drinking, etc.etc.

Moreover, there’s been some work suggesting that conservative and family-centric parents in particular respond well to the argument that if you want your child to succeed in life, the best thing you can do is accept him or her coming out as quickly as possible with a minimum of drama.

Sen. Portman has helped to give his son the best chance of living a healthy and healthy life. So thanks for bringing it up!

  11. That There Other David 17 Mar 2013, 10:23am

God is not Government either. WTF does it have to do with him what other people do?

Sometimes I really wish the anti-gay bigots came with an Off Switch.

  12. I thought I had a strong stomach, but this is vile beyond belief.

Mr Portman had said he wouldn’t be campaigning for marriage equality. These people will make a dedicated campaigner out of him – what other response could he make.

  13. This is not about WAR or DISEASE but rather the hatred within. I pray for a long health life for Mr. Portman, his son and family. Some of us Americans still pray and I personally pray for a Peaceful World. Oh….and I’m gay.

  14. May be these people should meet with a psychiatrist and analyse their own boring sexuality. they most be very frustrated to know people who enjoy their sexual life that they feel the need to make such stupid statement

  15. The Government is not God PAC sure knows how to spread the love.

  16. I’m just wondering if these people are suffering from some sort of mental illness – a kind of mass hysteria – I think an academic body would probably get funding to study them and could diagnose it and see if it is “a treatable condition.”

  17. douglas in canada 17 Mar 2013, 5:01pm

These people believe in a god who is powerless. If he had the power they claim him to have, when they get sick, they would pray, rather than go to the hospital. I think it would be a great way to clean up society – just let the foolish die.

As far as “sin” goes, they would be more believable if they didn’t focus on sex and other people. If they read their own bibles, they would see that their jesus tells them, “if you want to get into heaven, you have to sell all you have and give it to the poor.” I have yet to find a christian who does that.

Which makes me think that since there are no REAL christians out there, the ones who blather on and on about gays and sin and all…. well, they’re FAKES.

  18. Once again, the certainty they hold that sexual orientation is a choice can only mean one thing: they made such a choice. They are attracted to both sexes, and who knows what else! If they were completely heterosexual, surely they would realise they had no choice in the matter.

Might they be a little transgender too? ;-)

  19. I think this man should sue these people for insulting his own child saying he will die of aids and cancer.

If someone came up to me and called my daughter something offensive id tell them to meet mr and mrs knuckles straight to the face!!
