    This is good news for anyone with the least bit of concern for the rights of Women. GLBT organizations need to review the definition of gender identity in the bill they push and narrow it to capture the class of people they seek to protect. Otherwise, the bill completely eviscerates protections based on sex.

  2. However good news from the same state that the death penalty will be repealed once signed by the Governor!

    One issue at a time – in a small amount of time the Legislature can only deal with

    True Paul;

    There was not enough time anyway since the Maryland Legislature has such a very short timeframe that passed just a bill to abolish the death penalty (which I also support too), but there is still NO EXCUSE to deny rights to transgender people – but then again they have been doing the exact same thing in New York State for far too long with the New York State Senate refusing even a Committee vote on the same sort of transgender bill!

    Oh we’ll maybe next year in 2014!
