New Zealand: Equal marriage passes critical second vote 15
11:23 AM — Lawmakers in New Zealand voted 77 to 44 yesterday to pass same-sex marriage legislation. The bill will now go to a final vote, but it is widely believed that it has passed the critical hurdle and should have a smooth course into becoming law.
