  1. Good, let them stop. There are plenty of non-bigoted agencies to serve the kids and families in their wake. Of course we’ll have to hear about how they were “forced” to stop serving blah blah blah, but thankfully fewer people are buying that crap now.

    1. Actually the church is lying about having to stop adoption. They can discriminate. They just cant take state money and do so.

Not surprising they lie, which is a sin. The whole Fckuing thing is a lie

And they also did the same re their thousands of pedo priests – moved them hither and yore to new places where these sex starved criminals could continue to molest children.

Why – they wanted the money in the collection plate
second – many of the bishops raped kids also and we’ve hardly begun to explore that monstrous set of crimes

The catholic church is exceedingly willing to threaten anyone who does not agree with their narrow views (like they know anything about sex, except for being pedophiles, of course and that is not sex, it is rape). They will injure the children in their care instead of allowing those children a chance at a good life. That is child abuse!!! They are also deeply closed minded and lack not only compassion but rationality as well. Not a healthy combination for anyone, truly. I’m sick of listening to their illogial fears, threats and attempts to control all Civil Societies. They do not have the moral high ground here! They are of the Darkness and cannot evolve….extinction is their only future since they are unable to evolve in any way…..obviously!

  3. The sooner children are protected from rape by people employed by the Catholic Church the better. There are other agencies who can place kids for adoption that are more trustworthy with children.

  4. Catholicism.
When you put your own vile opinions above the care and welfare of children.

It’s their choice isn’t it? Maybe they’ve been inhaling some of that black smoke? Or else maybe they’re afraid gay parents will do what some of their priests have been doing. In any case good riddance and don’t slam the door on your way out!

  6. No big deal the Catholic Church is dying any way. The LGBT people will take over the job for them. That will save the children from the pedophile priest who prey on them in the Catholic Church.

  7. Catholic who? Aren’t they irrelevant by now?

  8. “recognises and affirms the dignity of every human person”, however it does not view gay couples as equal”

ummm, last I checked, not recognizing someone’s equality was the polar opposite of “affirming their dignity”.

I suspect that the priesthood has some deleterious effect on Catholic priests’ abilities to put together coherent and logical thought.

  9. We call ourselves a charity, but really we’re an apartheid group. We try to look all warm and cuddly, but if you push us we’ll show you our ugly core.

  10. Their reaction really does beg the question, as it did in the UK. Why are they running an adoption service then?

If it isn’t to find stable homes for homeless children what is it for? I think we know the answer to that question. Religion always wants access to the children. It is where the brainwashing starts and the new cult followers are found.

That is not charity. That is harvesting a crop for their own purposes. Nasty vile dangerous people.

  11. To be honest I think it’s time children’s services (schools as well as adoption agencies) were unpicked from the Catholic Church. So good! Go ahead!

  12. The catholic church is like a bully who has lost the argument and is going into an all mighty, and very undignified and petulant sulk. Good riddance to them, I am sure there are more respectable adoption agencies with values of love rather than hate and prejudice who will do the job.

  13. But they know it’ll take away their livelihood and their position of power.
At the end of the day the Catholic and all other churches need attendance and money to survive. Each threat, each vile proclamation, each scandal, each humiliation takes away a little more of their credibility – even to the most hardened follower – and stops a little more money being dropped in the collection plates.
So I say let them bring it on – let people see how narrow and bigoted they are – it can only be a matter of time before the majority of people have just had enough of the hate and insanity of the church.

Walk away from adoption because of your hate there will be 10 other groups just as able right behind you to do the work.

  14. The Catholic church is seething with hate the world over. It is a debauched, corrupt and anachronistic institution.

  15. talk about being unchristian … threatening to stop a charitable service (yet still claim charity tax exemption) … think of the children! o wait they only say that when its convenient to them!

  16. Good. The Catholic Church should not be allowed to have anything to do with children.

Ah, the blackmail dictatorship of religion.

    As the song goes…

    “Go on now go
    Walk out the door
    Just turn around now
    ‘Cause you’re not welcome anymore
Weren’t you the one who tried to break me with goodbye
    Did you think I’d crumble?
Did you think I’d lay down and die?
    Oh no, not I”

    Camp but Soooo fitting!!

  18. Good, infact don’t wait for it to happen, close now,.

The quicker children are not exposed to their hate the better.

  19. Three dioceses did the same thing in Illinois when the civil unions bill was passed here, and the state said “Buh-bye!” Didn’t renew their contracts, which cost them about $30 million a year, and threatened to revoke their licenses.

And a number of other adoption services, including the Lutherans, stepped right in and immediately took over the care of the children who had been with CC. Nobody misses them.

  20. Yet another example of ‘loving christians’ throwing their toys out of the pram if they don’t get their own way. Shows their agenda is much more about power and control than ‘love’. So, they would rather subject a needy kid to an institutionalised life just because the government wants to introduce equal rights for all? What a mixed-up bunch the cathoilic heirarchy is. No wonder right-minded people are deserting it in their droves. It is SICK beyond belief that an outfit that is supposed to be ALL about ‘love’ can be so vindictive and hypocritical. I hope it withers on the vine and we can all just get along without their constant discriminatory bleating.

  21. CreatedGay.Com 13 Mar 2013, 12:52pm

Same-sex marriage and gay parenting is coming across North America. If the Catholic church is strongly opposed to this, they need to get involved in different social service agencies.

  22. It surprises me more that State institutions have not revoked the licences of the Catholic Churches Adoption agencies a long time ago .Given the church`s record on Child abuse and pedophelia. Im quite surprised the state allows them any contact with children. I realize Priests are not the ones running the adoption agencies of the Catholic Church but given the history of this entity and children I`m not sure any child is safe within this organization. Just the thought of the cover-ups that have taken place in other areas of the churches durisdiction i`m just not so confident that they should be looking out for the welfare of children. And once again they have shown just how loving and caring they are when it comes to children. They would close up shop if gays are allowed to adopt from them. And they are not given an exclusion from the Law. That is their M.O. Exclusion!!! always has been and always will be.

    1. Really when an institution is allowed to operate with such disregard for its charges ( the children waiting for adoption.) Who is going to step in and protect these vunerable children from such abuse ,if not the State. When is the world going to wake up to this corrupt and power hungry bigotted entity. With the scandals all around the world and the record of this entity. From the abusive Orphanges in Canada run by Chritian Brothers, The residential schools for Aboriginal children run by the Catholic Churches in Canada Pedophile priests throughout the system who have never faced justice.Bishops and Popes who have aided in the cover-ups, Troubled teen girls in Ireland made to work as slaves for the church for decades. Unwed mothers in Spain and other parts of Europe having their children taken away from them by the Church and sold for Profit. and all the other Atrocities commited by this evil entity. When is the world going to wake up and put a stop to its madness.

      1. Now we just sit back again and await its election of the next evil leader of this disgusting entity. If this was a Despot Government or Dictatorship. We would not hesitate to condem it and look to round up its leadership and put them on trial for such crimes against humanity as those commited by this entity. But we just sit back and accept it because they represent a religious order. Because in many Western Countries we have given them protection for the Law by excluding them from the law of the land in our Constitutions. Then we Rail against Arab countries who wish to preserve Shria Law within their States. While we allow theses Homophobic bigots,Child Rapists and Women haters to walk among us .as though they carry the true Values of our society. What Hipocrites we are. There is an old Arab Proverb that goes . May you get everything ,you ever wished for. We deserve what we get. Evil lives,As long as good men stand by and do nothing.

So, the Romans get out of child-care business. They’ll lose money, but they’ll surely make up for it with the proceeds from their Rome bath house, which, I understand, is the largest gay male bath house in Europe.
    I think that’s fitting!!!

  24. The best thing that can happen to children is catholic organisations staying away from them.
