Having initially refused to return from holiday when the London riots started, perhaps Boris was unaware that the police did nothing for 3 dyas. he then did a photoshoot with him holding a broom briefly in Wandsworth. Later he bitched the govt for cutting back funds on the police. So basically, he wants to spend more money on a totally unaccountable and incredibly badly managed police, rather than on anything else. His office merely gives an acknowledgement if you write, and in my case a warning that they will not read any further messages.
