  1. Ugly joke but a good response from Ratner which has helped to raise awareness. Happy ending!

      I love a happy ending :)

      1. Why the hell are they giving him an award? That just sends a message to others like him that you can use language that disparages gays, then go oops, I apologize and you’ll get an award. Tell me how that helps to stop homophobia. Will the next athlete or actor who spews anti-gay slurs get an award too?

        1. He didn’t just say “oops I apologise”. He went out of his way to show through actions and words that he fully understood why his comments were wrong and hurtful, and helped promote the LGBT inclusive message to others.

I wish we had a similar organisation in the UK. That would put some of the religious bigots on notice especially that C4M hate group and their supportive MPs and religious clerics.

  3. I’m glaad he apologised :)

  4. I’m sure he learned his lesson, but what a bizarre thing to hand out an award for. Gay Inc. makes me laugh sometimes.

  5. Why is this moron getting an award.

He engaged in vile, bigoted speech, trotted off to GLAAD to make amends.

And now they are giving him an award.

    This makes GLAAD look ridiculous.
